I have not given you or anyone else blood for over 40 years because I had Hepetitus 40 years ago.  So I AM NOT a former client of yours and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

So quit your damn robo calls and screen your calls with the DO NOT CALL registry!

The challenge of working to meet the nation’s blood needs is a serious one.  United Blood Services is responsible for meeting the blood needs of more than 15 million Americans who live in the communities we serve. Patients in these communities literally depend upon a steady stream of blood donors to survive.

United Blood Services is committed to finding a balance between the needs of these patients and the needs of those rare individuals who so willingly give of themselves.  I apologize if our outreach comes across as too strong or too intrusive.

Some blood donors want us to call them as soon as they are eligible to give again.  Other blood donors don’t want to be called as often.  Some donors want us to leave a message when we call while others want us to call back every so often until we make personal contact.  That is why we offer options to blood donors that enable them to customize how and when we ask them to give blood.

Please feel free to contact me directly should you feel that you would like to change the way(s) we’re asking for your help.  I will be happy to work with you to find a communication process that meets your needs.  Blood donors are rare and wonderful people and we do sincerely appreciate the past, present, and future efforts of every blood donor.

Find the hero in you. Give blood 3 times a year.

I have also received repeated calls from this number, with no message every being left, which has brought me to this site. If there is any way to make them stop, that would be greatly appreciated. I am someone who is frequently getting new tattoos and is usually ineligible to give blood, so would appreciate not being contacted further.

Wfinlayson - if United Blood Services is asking for help meeting the blood needs of your local community, and you're calling from a TX (and possibly a NM) area, why are you calling me? I've never lived or donated blood in either state, nor have I even been to either of these states in 20+ yrs. I live in CA and already get too many calls from my local blood center as it is.

WFinlayson, I have asked several times to be removed from the United Blood Services call list every time they call me. I work nights as a nurse and I get calls during the day when I am trying to sleep. United Blood Services is trying to save lives but so am I - I can't do that very well with no sleep!!!!

The one time I actually set up an appointment over the phone to donate blood - they set up an appointment for me in a town 4 hours from my home instead of my hometown!

I will probably just receive your generic response.... "We recently became aware of this website and are now viewing your concerns.  Please feel free to contact me directly to resolve any current difficulties or issues you may have.  Thank you for being a blood donor!  William Finlayson Executive Director United Blood Services Customer Contact Centers wfinlayson@bloodsystems.org"
