Ive gotten several calls from this number the ID sayin Maximum Security.  I have tried to call back upon getting home from work but my calls are never answered and there is no machine at all? What is it exactly they want, there is no one living here in debt so it isnt a bill collector, I have  checked my credit score because of this call to see if my credit or debit card had been stolen. I am annoyed that there is no reason, they arent selling anything and arent a bill collector???

I got a call from them today and the caller ID said Maximum Security.

I posted the comment above regarding a rude female caller from the number 916-418-0761.  I proceeded to research the number and found a trace back to a company named. Mpower Communications Corp. (article http://www.mpowercom.com/about/news/news012600.shtml).  There was a website for this company at the bottom of the article (http://www.telepacific.com/) and I called the main number to speak with someone (it is 1-800-399-4925).  The menu does not provide an option for complaints or comments so I went through number 5 ("If you wish to make changes to your service...").

The woman who answered the phone was courteous and patiently listened as I explained what took place and the fact I was very upset with the phone call I had received from the above noted number.  I asked to file a formal complaint and she gave me the number to the legal department of Telepacific Communications (866-839-8545).  I contacted the legal department and spoke with another woman who documented my concerns.  I asked if anything can be done or perhaps a reprimand of the individual who called my number.  She said that she can document the incident, ask for my number to be removed from the call list, and try to get a manager of the communication company that called me directly to contact me so I can file a complaint with them as well.  We will see what happens.

A woman called from the 916-418-0761.  Verbatim...  Caller: "Hi how are you today ma'am?" Me: "I'm fine, may I ask whom you are calling for?"  Caller: "The homeowner."  Me: "There is no homeowner at this location."  Caller:  "I thought so."  And then the caller hung up.

I've tried calling back to see if I could get a switchboard or a name of a company but the number is either consistently busy or the call is picked up, there is silence and then the line goes dead.  I have never received a call from this number before.  I am extremely angry with the way this woman spoke to me and I will do my utmost to find out and report whoever is making ridiculous calls like this.  If you have any information about this number or whomever is making these calls please post information!  Thanks.
