Same number 916-500-4383 - multi-lawyers. I had over 30 calls in the past four days from this number claiming to be a attorney. However I told him a few choice words and get lost!!!. Well they are like a gnat (pest) My phone blocked them but they still keep coming in from California (Folsom area). I know they are using a router to jump calls from all over the USA. They are out of India or Parkistan.

Lets all go to this guys house and kick his a$$ up around his neck....I'm serious...let's go jack 'em up but good. Break all his fingers so he can't call anyone anymore....

A person from this number called my cell phone and it came up from California. I have no relatives or friends in California so I didn't answer. Then they called my work phone so I answered it. They said I had 3 criminal charges against me: Violation of federal banking law, collateral check fraud, and theft by deception for a payday loan for $300 and that they had been trying to debit my bank account to get their money back and it wouldn't go thru. I called my bank and they showed no such transactions. Not surprising because I never took out a payday loan. They had the last 4 of my checking account number. I filled out a loan app online and I guess that's how they got my information. She didn't speak English well at all and had the nerve to say I would be arrested within 45 minutes and suspended from my job 'cause they were sending the information to the local law enforcement agency. And I had 45 minutes to have my attorney contact them. Date of Sept. 19, 2013. These people are ridiculous!!

Sent them this message: "I have called the FTC and filed a complaint against you and your harassing calls. They are monitoring my calls and text messages now and I've handed over every message to them that you left. They're just waiting for you a**holes to f**k up. So take your t**** heads and shove them back up your a**es and take your bulls**t threats with you. And your sexual inadequacies have been very amusing to everyone! So glad to hear that you're unable to get or maintain an erection! It must be difficult to function with something so tiny."

This guy is amazingly stupid. He did everything to me that you all reported in just one call. I have a number blocker on which disconnected the call immediately but he left a msg. I got the whole God Bless crap and "You're in so much trouble if you or your attorney don't call me back!" Seriously?? I write grants for a living and in researching put my phone number in the wrong place because this isn't the only call I'm getting. All I can offer is "Mr. Number" which is the blocker I downloaded. Its very effective. Don't let this guy get to you. Get the blocker on your cell and let it do its work. The majority of the calls I was getting stopped after one day. Anyone with any brains knows to give up.

Called my Cell phone several times leaving threatening and unintelligible messages. It is obviously a scam or identity thief. I just delete and DEFINITELY don't call them back.

I have started receiving these calls also. They are wishing me good luck in my bad future if i dont call them back. Ummmm. I am not going to stand for this. Also, be aware that other companies are claiming to be law firms. They state they are pressing changes against you through the state attorney. This they cant do as if it is a money loan it is a civil matter, not criminal! BE AWARE!

same things..ive gotten calls from almost every state in the nation with these "people" on the line talking about the same thing...I guess I'll start wit the Attorney General's Office in my state and go from there...

Received a phone call on my cell phone and at work, was told that I had a law suit against me and I needed to call the attorney to find out details.  Asked the gentleman why I did not receive anything in the mail and he told me he is just someone that calls people he does not know anything else.  I called the number back and spoke with someone that was supposed to be "Alex Cooper" working for Johnny Best Attorney General for California.  I was told that I was being sued for a check fraud, banking scams with CashAdvanceUSA. After the gentlemand told me all this information he then asked if I had any questions.  I just instructed him that I did not sign any documents and did not receive any money.  He then instructed me that I would be arrested within minutes and spend 6 months in jail and then proceed to hang up on me.  Several hours after the phone call I have tried to call back to tell them that I have called my states attorney general to file complaints on them and all they do is hang up on me.  

Beware because they did have my last 4 digits of my social security number

This is a scam. My identity was stolen, payday loan was taken out without my knowledge, police were already involved and disputes filed when I got 3-5 calls a day, for muliple days threatening me and then ending the message in "god bless". Peice of s**t. I called him, he answered "state attorney office" but wouldn't tell me what state, he started guessing states. Duh.
Too bad for him I'm a lawyer, and a stubborn b***h, he must really like trans prostitues because he's getting alot of calls at this number now from them. :). Don't let him intimidate you, he can't speak English, gets flustered and hangs up on you the second you ask questions.
Turn the tables! Call HIM three plus times a day, let him answer and press buttons on the keypad, stay completely silent, and let him deal with the actual attorneys. (Hint: Actual authorities and government offices send you written statements, not rude calls from people who cannot speak English or communicate properly in any form.)

they called me from unavaliab;e number with a call back number. but if u have a warrant for ur arrest, noones going to tell you, they will just pick u up no questions asked. and here is another number out washington dc sayn same sh*t. his name is Michael Shaw.look him up as well and the number was (202) 239 6225. i looked it up as i did this number and same posts as this one but from diff person, so be aware people dont get SCAMMED

This guy with a heavy accent who can't speak very good english calls me at work and says I have 3 lawsuits against me and I should call Alex Cooper @ this # right away.  He also left me a message on my home phone also !!!!

This man called me and wanted me to verufy my information to my social security number and my address,when I refused to give it he threatened to have me arrested,,,he would not say who he was nor who he was with

I have had them calling me too. Saying I'm in serious trouble and I better get an attorney.  They asked for my info if it was correct and I told them no. Than when I asked if I can know what the allegations. Where he said he didn't know and than I told him this is being recorded he put his fake supervisor on. And than I started to laugh in his face and he was all upset. I could barely understand what they were saying but he tried to threaten the hell out of me and when it didn't work he was upset. What a scam. These guys need to get in trouble and where they got their info I would love to know.

I am currently at work and i get a phone call from a guy who i could barely understand because of his accent. He tells me someone has a lawsuit out on me and that i need to call the number he gave me. I am not going to call the number. I do not have a lawsuit on me. How can these people get our numbers of our place of employment? Isnt this considered harrassment? He told me the name of the atterney was Grace Miller.

I just got two calls from them.They claim to be attroneys who have a lawsuit against my ss number.that is bs.This has happened before.They are scam artists from India,I told them to mail anythng they have,thay dont know what to say.Turn the tables on them.They will stop.

keep calling my number saying they are from the attorney generals office and I am being sued. of coarse that's a line and I told them so and that I was reporting them.  they think that is funny.  they have a Spanish accent.  when I call the number back some times a lady will answer so and so law firm. with all the US technology the government should be able to put a stop to this if they really wanted to  I see hundreds of complaints just like mine.  500-1000.00 dollar loans, approved for auto loans and their favorite one is we are coming to pick you up and take you to jail.  I am being told to change my number change this change that, I should not have to do all that, they need to be prosecuted.  these people starting calling at 7am and every two or three hours.  If I had done something the attorney general would trace me down.

received a call from this person with a thick accent, could barely understand him.  this is a place of business and he was calling for one of our employees.  he stated that if we did not call him back, we would suffer conssequences.

This uneducated horrible man had the audacity to threaten me, and tell me a sheriff will come to my door, and I will be behind prison bars for 6 months. First of all, I have never took out a loan. Unfortunately my information fell into this perverts hands.. since I am very close with federal agents, I quickly got them to act in my behalf. He hung up on them... Certainly not what a "States Attorney" would do... This friggen East Indian Dude. is messing with the wrong person!!! I have a lot of contacts in Texas.. Hello, I actually got through to the person... Right away you could tell they were unprofessional.  At first they did scare me with their threats, however, I too, know that I have done nothing wrong or illegal.. Unfortunately it's a scam, and it bothers me that my info is out there.. They repeated the last four of my social.. I'm upset about that.  However, I'm hoping that in numbers we can ruin this person.  Unfortunately, due to the internet business he is probably reading all our threads.. that being said... I'm hoping he reads this because I have a high profile agent watching all this, and when "Mr. Cooper" logs in..  So let's all say F*** You Mark Brown.. Alex Cooper!!! we all know where your family lives as well!  He messed with the wrong person!!!
