Began getting calls about 2 weeks ago all times of the day but I've never answered. ID says American Lung.This morning they called at 8:23! Since it's a NY area code I sent an email to the NY chapter of the American Lung Association so that they can post some type of notice that they do not use harrassing phone calls to raise funds.

Got a call from this number with no answer when I picked up.

Call came from New York to Kansas at 13:59 hours on 11-22-09. Call not answered, and no message left. Call tracked to Global Crossing, the big advertising firm, and from there to American Lung Association.

This number is just one in a string of numbers for American Lung.

called 4/15 at 11:00 a,m. pacific time.   I never answer calls if I don't recognize the name of the caller.

I had the same experience as everyone else with endless calls, no message or person on the other end.  I used the contact form on the American Lung Association national website:  http://www.lungusa.org/about-us/contact-us.html  to send an email and received a very polite response that they would remove me from their list. Hopefully that solved this problem. I read about others who called the number back and eventually get to an automated system that will take you off the list, but that's a well known red flag for scams and I would never EVER do it with a number that called so often and never left a message or had anyone on the other end.  American Lung Association is a worthy cause, but obviously they've contracted unscrupulous call centers.

Calls weekly and no one there.  Stops these calls, please

They have now called me over 20 times. They are telemarketers for the
New York branch of the American Lung Association. They won't stop calling as it is highly profitable for them. They rake off about 24.6% of your donation. They have the lowest rating of the American Lung Assoc. branches.
Their rating is 29%, while the Washington, D.C. branch has a rating of 68%.
Harassing calls are permitted by law from political groups, charities and groups taking surveys. Even heating and cooling companies call taking a survey as to whether you have a furnace. Blame Congress for all this harassment. The reason they often don't answer when you say, Hello is they are using an auto-dialer and they only respond to the first person to answer.

Have received calls from "American Lung" 1-917-210-4610 several times a day. Calls start at 8am till 9pm. Accidentally answered one of them and a defining voice screamed "Well Hello". Then silence. Someone needs to investigate. I'm sure this isn't the American Lung Association. I have worked with them in the past and this isn't the way they do business. When I call the number back it states it is the American Lung Association.

Received calls every day for eight days, with no message left. I would like them never call again.

They called several times so I finally answered. It was a lady from the American Lung Assoc. asking me to do a mailing to the people in my neighborhood asking for donations.  I told her I do this for the March of Dimes and don't have time to do it for them as well. She tried to get pushy with me about donating my time but finally she backed down and thanked me for my time.  She wasn't rude, just really trying to convince me.  I refused and that was it.  It has been several days and no more calls so I hope they crossed me off their list.  They were calling me a lot until I finally answered and told them NO!  Good luck!

keep gettin calls from 917-210-4610--& no one says anything--I am SUPPOSED to be on the DO NOT CALL LIST

Recenty April 14th--April 15th & Ap 16th--one at 12:30--one at 2:04 & one at 6p.m.

They show up on my caller ID as "American Lung" so I'm guessing American Lung Association which makes the multiple calls per day legal but no less annoying.

Unfortunately American Lung(National Headquaters) is disinterested when it comes to this number using their name to place calls. I do not appreciate being called 5 to 10 times daily from 8 am to 10 pm. Do I answer?  NO. As a result of these calls I have put American Lung on my "DO NOT DONATE" list. This 917 number has been reported several times to the Government "Do Not Call List". Nothing has come of the reports. American Lung just keeps calling. As a result, I do not accept phone calls from anyone that I do not know personally. They are now treated as Telephone SPAM.

Calls everyday from early morning to late evening. Have caller ID so do
not answer. Caller ID say " AMERICAN LUNG ASSC". If they want a donation

get calls a fww times a day. when you don't answer they do not leava a message either. the call is from new york n.y. I am on a do not call list also. does anyone really know who is calling??? I do not answer.

This number calls several times a day, with no message, and eventually hangs up. I believe it is a computer doing "call ahead" answer verification, for some telemarketing agnecy...i.e. the computer calls ahead to verify someone is home...very, very frustrating

This number called and when I answered someone said "hello, hello" and then hung up!  Have had two of these calls.  The second call I did not answer.  I have also had calls everyday from the American Lung and they have a number almost the same.  VERY annoying!

I have received a call from this number every day this week, at different times of the day, so I finally decided to answer it to tell them to stop calling, and no one was there.  How can you get them to stop calling at all???

Get calls almost daily from American Lung, some as early as 8:15 in the morning and some as late as 9:00 at night.  Most times I don't answer, some times I just pick up the phone and hang up.  They should not be calling my number, I'm registered on the "Do Not Call" list.

Started happening to me (Kansas) with caller id American Lung this week.

Started calling 4/15 don't know anyone in area code and started calling on a VOIP line not listed anywhere.

this number is now regularly calling...  I do not answer....   can anyone identify them so they can be reported?

I traced this numder to a Co. named Global Crossing Local Services Inc.
