I just got a call from them (617-391-7404) asking for a stryker regenerative medicine. Before I could say it was the wrong # she said she misdialed, then less than a minute later my phone rang again same # and did not leave a msg. I hope they do not call me anymore but I will be changing my name on my voicemail msg because I figured they might have just wanted to find out my name or something.

My brother-in-law (US citizen but immigrant from Pakistan) got a call today from a Ymax number (773.442.7512) threatening him with arrest for a "filing a false affidavit with the IRS."  I called the number and asked for "Robin Miller" (the person conveying the threat).  He pretended the matter was confidential -- but then ended up going round and round with me on some other issues:
(1) I asked him under what more comprehensive agency did this office reside -- what was it a part of.  He said, "We are affiliated with the IRS."
(2) I asked, "What does 'affiliated' mean?  Are you an official agency OF the IRS?  Are you some private agency HIRED BY the IRS"  [I didn't use the term "contract agency," though maybe I should have.]  He wouldn't quite say it was, but of course wanted to insinuate that it was.
(3)  I asked him where his agency resided.  He said Chicago, Illinois.  I asked how he figured his agency was going to arrest my brother-in-law "within the hour" when he didn't reside in Chicago.  He said the agency in the state where he resides would do it.  I told him I thought this didn't sound on the square to me and terminated the conversation.

I then did the reverse phone look-up and found it was Ymax -- a MagicJack outfit -- hardly the sort of facility the IRS would be leasing a phone line from!

I suggest reporting the attempt to your local IRS office (find it via http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1).

I'd also encourage immigrants from other countries to spread the word in the obvious places -- Hindu temples, Sikh community centers, mosques, churches AND Asian and Middle-Eastern food stores.  Here are some materials a lawyer friend of ours passed along that might be useful to post in such places:

It appears that YMAX Oration is a Magic Jack landline, could be owned by anyone.

I received a phone call on my cell and they left no message.  Reverse phone search for the number (540-313-7095)  shows it also belongs to YMAX ORATION.

Phone rang, they did NOT leave a message.
WHITE PAGES identified them as YMAX ORATION.
Google search of YMAX ORATION shows that they are scammers who will tell you that they are Texas police who will arrest you for bad loan ... unless you IMMEDIATELY WIRE THEM MONEY!!!
