Call showed up as "XO" along with the 917 #.  I have to answer and suspected it would be a robocall.  It was.  It was "John" - the same guy who voiced the Medical Alert scam that targeted the elderly. It's a recording so you can't yell at him.  He went onto his spiel that I or someone in my household (and this is an office) made an inquiry to their home security system.  I would've pressed 1 to get a live person and yell at them but didn't have time so pressed 2 which is supposed to have your number removed.  Of course it won't.  If they don't even display their company name then they won't play by any rules.  No doubt it's an offshore company targeting those who live in the US.  Wish there was a better way for offices to block those calls.

They called me and asked me "Wanna f***"

left message stating they "want to lower my credit card interest, this will be the only call to receive this offer,press 1 to speak to an agent or 9 to be removed from the call list", call then disconnected, left no call back number.

They've moved on. Now they're pushing low interest credit cards. The recorded voice said they were following up their mailing - HA - and that they wouldn't call again - DOUBLE HA! Luckily, they were blocked and never rang through. Love Google Voice.

This is a criminal scam to get your credit card information by offering lower interest.

I've gotten several calls from this number in the last two weeks. No message. It's just listed in my missed calls about 6 times. How do I make it stop?

They tried to call me on my cell, when checking the number, I ignored it and checked with www.whocallsme.com

Not sure who this was since I didn't answer the phone and they hung up when my machine came on.

I received a random call for this NY area code last week and coincidently my credit card was charged at 2 different pharmacies in NY -I don't live anywhere near NY and the only charge I made on that account ...was to set up a Blockbuster Account via a new Roku.  Hmmm.. Coincidence- I think not!?

Called office line at work. I never heard a word. Must be a machine.

Called my cell phone. Phone was set to do not disturb, rejected call.

Call in on my cell phone.  No voice mail left.

Just got a call from this number on my cell.  I hear that if you don't answer the call you are automatically dropped off the callers list.  I didn't answer.

Missed call and didn't leave a message. I was curious who'd be calling me from NY who's number wasn't already in my phone so I looked it up.

The National Do Not Call List has exceptions for debt collectors and surveyors, so that is why every scam is now calling themselves one of these types of organizations.
