I just got a call from 917 764-1892 and they did not leave a message but they knew my name. The caller ID comes up Queens NY. I tried to call the number and it came back number not in service.

I have had an email sent to me by a guy called Jerry Longs, the address is the same as here: 2-23 6G Koyochonaka Higashinada - Ku Kobe 658-0032 Japan

His email to me was almost word for word what he asked you. I make organic dog treats and he requested that I go to his freight company which is the same one that you have listed here, he also said that he could only pay via his credit card. He wanted me to ask my bank to set up a merchant banking system which would enable me to debit his credit card.
After reading this I am be doing anymore about it. t

I also received an email from a so-called Gerald Lewis in Kobe. Same set-up. Glad I have read this and gone no further.

Gerald Lewis also contacted me by email on geraldlewis007@rediffmail.com and says he wants to buy some of my artwork to go to Kobe, Japan. Exact same email address, delivery address and email  to contact for freight details. My suspicions told me that this guy was not legitimate as he could not tell me whether he had a shop in Japan and I also asked him how he found my online shop which he didn't respond to.

I am so glad I decided to do an internet search firstly on the freight company that they used and which I got a reply from and also on Gerald Lewis where I have found these posts. Thank you very much for letting me know about him.

And it's always good to trust your intuition or gut instinct if something doesn't feel right.

this "gerald Lewis" person just contacted me via email geraldlewis007@rediffmail.com. Says he is in Japan and wants to buy stock from me. Luckily he used my personal not my business email, so I knew it wasn't legit. Also that he didn't mention the "products" that he wanted to purchase by name.

THIS CALLER APPEARS TO BE A SCAMMER.  WE RECEIVED AN E-MAIL FROM TROYWRIGHT011@GMAIL.COM ASKING TO PLACE AN ORDER.  HE REQUESTED THAT WE USE HIS SHIPPING AGENT AND PROVIDED AN EMAIL AIRFREIGHTLOGISTICS2@YAHOO.COM.  I WENT AHEAD AND REQUESTED A QUOTE FROM THEM.  THE QUOTE CAME BACK SAYING THAT A 7 POUND 8X8 PACKAGE WOULD COST $550.00 AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO WIRE MONEY TO WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER OR EMONEY GRAM TRANSFER BECUASE THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.  I E-MAILED THE POTENTAIL CUSTOMER BACK AND ADVISED THE AMOUNT AND TOLD HIM THAT I COULD SHIP THIS PACKAGE VIA USPS FOR $50.00, HE REFUSED AND STATED THAT HE WOULD PREFER TO USE HIS SHIPPING AGENT BECUASE HE TRUSTED THEM.  I DID NOT GET BACK TO HIM RIGHT AWAY SO HE CALLED ON THIS NUMBER.  THAT CAUGHT US OFF GUARD BECUASE THE CALLER ID SAID HE WAS LOCATED IN QUEENS, NY, BUT THE CUSTOMER WANTS ME TO SHIP THE ORDER TO KOBE, JAPAN.  I REQUESTED THAT THE CUSTOMER SEND US A CASHIERS CHECK, BUT HE REFUSED AND SAID HE WILL ONLY PAY BY CREDIT CARD.

THIS CALLER IS A SCAMMER. HE USES STOLEN CREDIT CARD NUMBERS TO MAKE FAKE PURCHASES THAT ARE TO BE SHIPPED THROUGH A SHIPPING AGENT TO AUSTRALIA. ALL OF THIS IS FAKE, THE COMPANY HE GOES BY IS NE CONSULT AND THE SHIPPING AGENT HE USES IS LOGISTIC EXPRESS, WHICH IS ALSO A FAKE COMPANY. HE PAYS WITH CREDIT CARD THEN REQUEST THE SHIPPING FEE BE SENT VIA WESTERN UNION BECAUSE THE SHIPPING COMPANY DOESN'T ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS OVER THE PHONE!
