I have been getting calls from this number. I answered yesterday, but nobody responded.

annoying calls that do not answer!

PROTECT AMERICA caller id call that left a message saying Hello (guys voice) then hung up. Several other complaint websites say it is the out of state 'If we can put a sign in your front yard we will install a FREE home alarm' Bait and Switch offer. All these unscrupulous out of state home alarm companies use the FREE word to get you interested then during the paperwork fill out you have to buy a cell phone or something to get a discount on the alarm, nothing is FREE except the sign they want to put up. We've had several out of state door to door sales claiming they installed an alarm in your neighrborhood because of a break in only to find out that house the suppossed alarm was installed does not show anything of their alarm being installed, no sign or sticker anywhere. We were curious so a few neighbors started to talk to the salesguy like we were interested just to find out what the catch is and all of them start with can we put a sign in your front yard and install the FREE alarm, but 3/4 of the way through the sell something always came up that you have to buy with but your getting a deal on this item. FYI 917 area code is a New York cellular prefix too and no such company called Protect America shows up anywhere for this number.

I got a call from this number with no message.  Have no idea who it is.

SHADY HOME ALARM TELEMARKETING company using a New York cell phone area code to make these calls.
WHY would anyone use an out of state company put in a home alarm? Let alone one that uses a cell phone to make UNWANTED TELEMARKETING CALLS.

I've been receiving calls from NY ever since I went there on vacation I dont know how they got my number but I dont know anyone from there just went there for work and been getting calls from there and I call back and it says the call cannot go through

Guy called asking for my wife. Asked him what he wanted like three times.  Finally asks if they can put a sign in our lawn.  Asked my wife if she wanted a say from Protect America.    My Philipino wife yells how can your protect america with obama around.  The guy was speachless and I told him that we don't want a alarm system and hung up.   Then told her it sounded like a black guy.  I thought it was funny.

NOTHING IS FREE YOUR GONNA PAY FOR SOMETHING DOWN THE LINE NOT IN THE PRESENTATION.

Just got this call, Protect America. I think we have really good protection--OUR MILITARY! How are they getting past Do Not Call list???

Caller 917-793-5699.  Outta state caller did not leave a message and I did not answer the phone.  Seemed suspicious because I do not do business on the east coast at this time.

Hmmm 917 area code is a cellular prefix for the New York area. Can you smell a SCHEME.

Protect America caller id call today left a message saying Hello (guy) then hung up, if you don't leave any message don't call. Any legitimate company at least leaves a message as to who is calling, been getting calls from all kinds of out of state home security companies and a few door to door salesman claiming they put in an alarm in one of your neighbors house. First off I went and checked the so called neighbor that put in their alarm and couldn't see anything showing an alarm was put in like they state if we can put a sign in your yard we will install the alarm for FREE, this FREE sign in your yard is a Bait and Switch sales. 3 neighbors and I talked to one of these type of home alarm companies and it ended up you had to buy some cell phone in order to get a discount on the home alarm, even putting the sign in your front yard statement did not make it FREE. We knew this and just wanted to find out what the deal actually was with these out of state companies and door to door sales. Sounds like they wore their welcome out in their state and is trying to get out of staters to fall for their Bait and Switch sales.

I also received a phone call from this number. I tried to call them back but it didn't connect. Thank you for letting me know about this number.

Just received a call from 917-793-5699.  I had received a call from this number yesterday.  Normally I don't answer out of state #s or  #s I don't recognize, but curiosity got to me.  I answered it and the guy said he was from a home security system company and wanted to know if I would place their home security sign on my lawn in exchange for free home security.  I said, no.  He said, "thanks for your time anyway" and we both hung up.  I live in the 808 area code number.

Received call from 917-793-5699. Did not answer. They did not leave a voicemail. I hate these telemarketers.
