Received a text msg from this number stating "I love you please call me".  I replied saying they were texting a US Government phone.  No more messages.

Received a text message saying: I want to have sex call me soon....

I got one of these from 3 different numbers. When i called the number, i was automatically forwarded to the local 911 center in my area!!! Now the two numbers are nothing alike.

I received this exact same message from vtext.com. I was worried it'd be a virus or something.

Footnote: This came in through replies to recent complaints here at 800notes about another phone number: Forward your spam text messages to 7726. ATT, Verizon, etc. have all agreed to enable this.

Are you getting charged any kind of fee for getting these kinds of texts on your phone? Do you have the means to block numbers? Have you reported the number to the FCC and/or the FTC?

Your best defense is Caller ID. Don't answer a call if you see a name and/or number you don't recognize. The same should go for text messages; don't open them! Do save the call/text information and report it to the FCC and/or the FTC call complaint sites. These people are bullies who inflict these calls and texts on others.

They're to be sending spam texts in an orderly fashion - my wife is one digit after mine, and she just received the same sext message.

I keep getting text messages saying "Are hot call me now 1-919-249-4500."
The first one came from 19192494500@txt.att.net, and the second one came from 19192494500@cuna.txt.
The messages don't make sense & I want to be left alone.
