This number is from NC Child Support Services. They are tracking down people who are late on their child support payments. It's not child support services fault if they have your number. The person they are after gave them your number.

1) Listen to the phone call. Write down name of the person they are looking for.

2) Look at your caller id. Write down area code. ex 919 is Asheville.

3) Call 1-800-992-9457

4) Give them the info and they will take your number off or direct you to the correct county to
stop the phone calls.

5) Very nice people so help them out.

I received two calls from this same number and my caller id said NC ST GOVT TRA AT 3:09 P.M. ON 06/20/2011 and at 3:21 p.m. on 06/20/2011. I called the telephone number back and nobody answered before 4 p.m. EST. I was taking a nap when I received the two phone calls. They never left a voice mail message at all. I do have to start paying child support on two of my children in North Carolina.

I received two calls within 10 minutes with no message.  I called back and it says "Welcome to PhoneTree, please enter the extension you are calling."  I blocked the number on my phone!!

number is north carolina child support. calls about past due payments and reminders of court dates.

just got a phone call from this number. Some voice saying something about confirming something.Couldn't really understand, because i'm at work.... but  i did get towards the end tht if i want to hear the message again to press "star" and i did, but the call ended.
