Called today at 11:45am while I was out.  Caller id says "Private Name", which is likely to fool folks into thinking it could be someone they know.  There was no message.  I see others having the same experience.  I copied the FTC phone number from this site and will surely use it to file phonecall complaints.

Caller ID didn't show a name, just a number.  Usually a sign the caller is a telemarketer and they're running a scam.  They've called before about medic alerts and I've told them I won't need that for another 50+ years and please stop calling.  They continue to call so now I don't answer at all.

Exactly, and the callers deserve to get screwed into a timezone where the only thing they will worry about is trying to escape from the unknown. There they'll be alone, gasping for breath from the clutches of Karma or lets say Hell. They rang and harassed people, and it's their turn to get harassed. I bet you they won't be able stand a second of it. Robocalling/spoofing freaks I know you are reading this blog. It's just the beginning. You have a lot of things to learn in your worthless life on Earth. Give up come out clean, and seek for forgiveness.

Received a message from this number but they did not say who they were or what they wanted.  Just asked for Mr or Mrs (my last name).  But the man who left the message sounded like he thought someone had answered the phone. I am just glad that they only have my Google Voice number so they are not wasting my cell phone minutes with this garbage!

called at around 8 am on 12/6/12, only answered it because wife was still sleeping to stop it from ringing more than once. He asked for my wife by name, and when I said she was still sleeping, or was until he called, I asked if I could help him and he identified himself I think with the name of Robert from some senior care center, it was quickly spoken and I didn't quite catch all he said, and then he hung up.

I get so many crap calls and emails a day now I don't even bother unless I know who they are.

These people are using fake numbers and fake names.  The Credit Voice is their real name, the name they hold on their telemarketing license, which is in Florida.  The calls are coming from 495 Semoran Blvd, Casselberry, Florida.  Mike Hilgar runs the place.  Complain to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  The FTC already has many complaints on them.  Many Attorney General's in different states also have several complaints on these people.  Indiana Attorney General has already filed suit against them.  The more complaints these organizations get, the sooner they can be stopped.

It appears as these people have changed their name again.  They are no longer calling themselves "Elite Information Solutions".  They are now going by the name "The Credit Voice".  They changed their name from "Elite Information Solutions" to "The Credit Voice" the day after Indiana Attorney General filed suit against "Elite Information Solutions dba Safeline Alert".  According to the Florida Department of Agriculture (licensing body of telemarketers in Florida) "The Credit Voice" is licensed to telemarket medical alert equipment at 495 Semoran Blvd. Casselberry, Florida. It looks like "The Credit Voice" main headquarters is located in Clearwater, Florida.

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I have received a call from this number frequently.  My Caller ID displays only the telephone number.  It is likely a fake telephone number but that does not matter.  While I don't bother answering the call anymore, it does not matter what the live or automated caller says, it is likely false information until you are sucked in anyway.  After you return the call to the number they provide (or punch the number they suggest), you find out the real reason and originator of the call.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  It doesn't matter if it is a fake number or not.  I provide the date, time of the call, what the Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one.  This action lets the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls - and if they (the FTC) want the reports to stop, they must stop the unwanted calls by imposing heavy fines or allowing the commercial providers such as Verizon, etc. to block the numbers.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller and letting others know they are not unique, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint alone.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

You, too, can submit a report at (note this is a new URL address as the old email address states it is not in service):
               https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

Click on "File A Complaint" on the left side of the web page - or click on "Continue."  It only takes a minute of your time.

Don't just get mad and vent on this website; get even by reporting the number to the FTC.

My 84 year old mother got a call from this number claiming he was from MICROSOFT and she needed an "update" on her computer. She allowed him to log onto her computer and gave him her password. She also gave him her bank account number so he could help her recover money she was due from a credit card she had closed after my dad died in May. She was confused by all this. This morning my sister took her to her bank. Someone from this number had tried to access her bank account 9 times!!!!!! They got $1.00. She had to change her bank card and the password on her computer. Fortunately they were not able to get more. Verizon was able to go in and remove a program this hacker had placed on her computer where they could access her computer at any time and obtain ALL her passwords to ALL her accounts. WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAMMERS. We have notified the police.

This morning they were still trying to sell a senior medical alert device.  I wish there was some way to alert all seniors.  I may start by notifying our local Senior Center.  I'm writing this from Arizona.

Complain to your State Attorney General's office. Indiana State Attorney General filed suit against this company in August, putting a restraining order on them to stop calling people in Indiana.  Indiana had over 600 complaints on this company.  Your state will listen if they get enough complaints, your complaint definity counts. This company stopped calling Indiana, but they are still calling the rest of the states and now starting to call Canada.  If every state puts a restraining order on them, they will have no one to call in the US.

Check out what Indiana is doing to them:
http://www.legalnewsline.com/news/237063-ind. ... st-fla.-company

The name of this company is Elite Information Solutions out of Casselberry, Florida, but the company is using a UPS store address in Orlando for their principal place of business.  Company owner is Michael Hilgar.  This company goes by several FAKE names.  Here are a few names that they are using:  Safeline Medical Alert, Senior Medical Benefits, Senior Medical Advisory, Senior Alert Line, and Senior Safeline.

I received a call from this number, and I was asked about my car.  They did not have my name right, but they did know what kind of car I drove.  I told them the car was broken, and asked who they were.  They hung up.  I called back, because I wanted to know who had my information.  I asked who they were, and they hung up.  I called back a third time, and the person who answered the phone said they could not talk to me because I'd indicated my car was broken--AND if someone called again, I should not admit that.  I asked who they were.  He said a warranty company, but would not give me an actual name.  They may be an actual warranty company, but I don't know why they'd tell people to lie about the condition of their car.  I still do not know the name of the company, and that really bothers me.
