After hiatus, calls restarting. No answer when I picked up as it was a local call.

As of this date/time legitimate, solicited, business calls from isp bandwidth.com do originate from this number.

It's unclear if it is concurrently being used for other purposes or if its being spoofed.

Also, bandwidth.com is a VoIP supplier, so its possible that some of this companies numbers have been abused by their subscribers.

IS THERE A WAY WE CAN COLLECTIVELY ELIMINATE THE ANNOYING,

I received 4 calls within minutes of each other and a message was left. This is a North Carolina prefix. The number turned out to be GA DFCS Protective Services calling.

Pretty sure this is NC Democratic Party fundraising.

I have people calling me, for a person with the same name, who used to live in my town, now they google the guy's name and my info comes up, and once you square it with one of these scum bags, they sell it to another, and it just goes on and on.  I not only get phone calls for this guy, I also receive his bills in the mail, to include his child support invoices, collection agencies, and even correspondence from the IRS.  However, its the phone calls that bother me the most, they call at all hours of the day and night.

I have found the answer to all these annoying calls, it's called the Call Blocker, and it works great. I was looking for the solution to these phone calls, for years, and this is the best solution I have found yet. I bought mine on ebay, and it works like a champ.

Feature films for families

Called my mobile, nobody on the line. But in the meantime my phone 'mysteriously' brought up world clock on the screen. Might be the new phone update or possibly something more sinister.

   Received a call from a (FEMALE) stating she was doing a "Marketing Survey". Who she
was looking, was not present. She stated she would call back and then hung up.....

I researched the number and then called it back, and requested my phone number be removed
from their list......

They called here. I answered. A lady named "Beth with the Democratic party" was begging for money and talking up about obama care. I cut her off and told her they would't get a dime from me and not to call me anymore...unless they wanted to bail me out and pay my bills like they did the big companies. She hung up.

Calling all voters to relinquish your money for our needs. Don't vote for these people because of wasteful means of money intelligence thinking practices. Hooray for liberties of a sound mind.

Its a agency looking to collect some student loans of some type from my ex- Hope they nail his a** to the wall.  Legit number calling for a legit reason.

Asked for my husband by his first name only. I said he wasn't here.  The woman wouldn't leave a message, she said she'd call back later and hung up.

Caller id said OUT OF AREA

Someone called asking for my daughter. When I asked who is calling, he did now want to give his name and hung up.

Several phone calls throughout the day and night. No messages ever left and I don't answer call.

Well, most of these postings are from 2007 and 2008; the last before this is June 2010; now *we* get a call in 2011.  Lucky US!!!!!

We didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up; answering machine took it, but there was NO ONE on the other end....ROBODIALING.

We wish we knew WHAT LIST we're on that we get calls - from ALL different area codes and numbers - that get us AT LEAST ONE CALL a day from some SCAMMER or THIEF or assorted DO***EBAG!

We PAY OUR BILLS ON TIME and have good credit - so it can't be a 'bill collectors' list.  So WHAT did we do that gets us HARRASSED DAILY?

And WHY aren't the LAWS of this country BEING ENFORCED?????

Political calls are, unfortunately, EXEMPT from the DNCList law, BUT, it is STILL ILLEGAL to use Robodialers and not either (1) have someone pick up when the phone is answered either by a live person OR an answering machine; OR (2) have a recording state who is calling and why.

Violators can be reported to the FTC for this breach of the LAW.

This appears to be a marketing service for the Democratic party.

That same call was just made here. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't pick up, but it still came in.

Several calls from this number. No one on line when I pick it up. One way to stop this is pick up the phone and hit pound sign # for about 10 times.

This telemarketing service makes calls to Democratic party members, workers and/or donors.  The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is one among many of Meyers' clients.

I let the message function take this call, but the caller left no message.  I checked all my likely contacts, and this is not anybody I know.  I suspected some kind of telemarketer.
