It's a research survey company call center. I'm doing one of their local "radio station" surveys for SE Michigan. Pays 50 bucks for 1.5 hours! Call it back sometime. They're not all crooks. :)

Just got a call from this number, it had North Carolina on the caller ID. When I picked up, no one said anything. Good to know about the "research center" now I'll just let it ring.

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST. SEEMS THAT NO ONE PAYS ANY ATTENTION TO THIS.
davis 2008-06-25 03:51:26 Unknown
think i nwill call them about 200 times and tie up their lines and not leave a message or talk. kind of childish.....but i am sick of all this. you sign up for "don't call" , never give out your number and they still bug you!!!
davis 2008-06-25 03:47:51 Unknown
called at 8:45 at night. p[hone rang twice, no one was on line and no message left.
Scotlander 2008-05-06 23:25:43 Unknown
I've been getting 2 or 3 calls from that number but since I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS from numbers that I do not recognize, or which do not have proper identification, they are just wasting their time with me. You should not answer any calls like that either.

Called once, did not leave message... WTF?

This company is not based in the U.S.! They 'employ' a hacker who calls in to large or giant US companies phone systems, and steals passwords to their phone ID's. This can be done nowadays because most companies, like 'Cisco Networks' use VoIP phone systems, the same way a residential consumer uses Vonage. By the way, I picked Cisco because they have a large campus in Chapel Hill, N.C., which is where the area code 919 is from, I use it every day at work. Don't get me wrong, the security at Cisco is top-notch, but these guys are out to make money off of the American people, and will stop at nothing to do it! Being on the 'do not call' list will not stop them; whenever you see that number, and they are trying to sell you something, tell them where they can go, and how they can get there!

These people called and asked for my wife. I told them we are on the do not call list and the woman on the other line said only my wife can request not to call. I asked this attitude princess if I can speak with her supervisor and she said no and hung up. These people are nuts and should be closed down.

this call came in as a call waiting call. didn't switch over but paid to do a *69 call to find out who called only to be directed here to find out its a
research company call. I am supposed to be blocked from annoying calls until 2010...whats up with them calling ???

This research company had called me before and would ask me about what radio stations I listened to, and then asked if I would be willing to listen to some snippets of current songs and say whether I had heard them, if I liked them, and if I thought they were being played on the radio too much.
They'd call every 3 weeks or so, maybe every month, always thanking me for my time (10 or 15 minutes each call) and letting me know if I wasn't ever able to do it, let them know.
I did. 4 times. They won't stop calling. Now, our caller ID box is full, with about 85% of the calls being from this one company.
