Where do they get cell phone numbers. I just received a call on my wifes cell. I  Did not give them my number.

This number is from the sleazebags at "warranty direct" - ripoff artists, very aggressive and they hang up when you challenge them.

I just got called by them on my cell phone. Although I do occasionally get legitimate calls from the 919 area code, I ignored this one because I didn't recognize the rest of the number. Glad I did. ;)

Same thing on my cell phone.  Got a call from 919-763-9446.  I didn't answer and then when I tried to call back there was a recording that the number was disconnected.  Ridiculous!!!

they called me just now, and i told them not to call me back or i'd be reporting them to my AG.  The jack*** goes "well sir, do you know the name of our company?"  I go "I bet I can find it on google"  and he goes "ha, good luck with that".  Owned.  Warrenty Direct eh?  We'll see what can be done about them.

The worst part is, i usually don't answer, but i'm job hunting and getting calls back from numbers i dont know...

Call received Monday, 8/18/08 @ 11:43am.  Hung up on & 2when attempted to call back immediately.... recording states 919-763-9446 is disconnected.  

Whenever you get a call on any phone especially a cell & you do not recognize the number DO NOT ANSWER

I just rcvd a call from them as well.  I did not answer it, but clearly they're using 919-763-9446 as a façade for their operations.

I get called from this number every week on my cell phone that this is the second notice that my factory warranty on my car is about to expire. When I called this number back, it said this number is disconnected and is no longer in service. Yet they just called me 2 minutes before! How do I get off this list? They also call my house phone and my husband's cell phone at least once a week!

Got a voice message from this number telling me that this was the second reminder for car insurance and hung up.

Got a missed call from this number on August 18th... thought it was weird.  They didn't leave a message either

Got a recording about my "2nd warning that my car warranty is about to expire".  I don't own a vehicle.  We used to get these same calls at my job.  After I put my phone number on the do not call list, they never called back.

At 11:46am EDT Monday 18 August 2008, I received a call to my mobile telephone from a caller with caller identification 1.919.763.9446.  The content of the call was a recorded message that began "This is the second notice that the factory warranty on your vehicle may have expired...."  I pressed 1 to speak with a person, and said, "Hello can I have your company's legal name and address for correspondence, please; you've called my mobile phone."  I was immediately disconnected.

A web search on 919.763.9446 reveals that this number is registered to Lauren Cortopassi of 432 Tomahawk Drive, Clayton, NC 27520-5686 - a fact confirmed by my own search of "http://switchboard.intelius.com/".  Dialling the number evokes a message that the number is no longer in service.

Another number, 1.919.989.7290, is registered to the same person at the same address.  Dialling it evokes a message in Spanish that states that the Embarq voice mail box on this line is full.

I have submitted these details as complaint number 08-T00222909 via the electronic edition of FCC Form 1088 filed at 11:36:15 EDT Wednesday 19 August 2008 at "http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm".

They called me too with their warranty scam. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the Mass. attorney general's office.

Such people deserve to be killed in the most painful way possible, and have their innards eaten by vultures while they scream until their voice goes silent.

I don't like scammers.

I got a call from this number too. they didnt leave a message.

My cellphone just received a call from this phone number. Call was made using an automated dialer. The recorded message said press "1" to speak with a representative or "2" to be removed from the calling list. They have called me numerous times before, so I pressed "2", and asked the name of their company and was told it is "Warranty Service Center". I am on the do not call list.
