Just got a call from this number- the man was extremely rude for someone CLEARLY wanting to sell something or another.

I get calls from this number almost everyday and 2-3x a day.  Strange thing is they called at 2:56 am this morning.  Usually they call at set times. I have the number blocked so they can't get through but they still keep calling.  Just called 30 mins ago. They dont know I know they are calling and logging all calls.  Im in process of researching the #.  So far I think its a switchboard #.  I will post my results.

Got a call today from 925-168-4577.

Asked for a someone by name.  When I asked who was calling, the caller refused to answer.  She hung up after 10-15 seconds of silence.  Shady.

Do not answer calls from 925-168-4577.  Too many of these calls lately, what is happening to the no call system - obviously not working too well.

Just got a call from this number with "Name Not Found" as the Caller ID. I've been getting a bunch of "Name Not Found" calls lately and usually don't answer but decided to see if I can stop at least one of the calls by just picking up. The guy asked for either my husband or me ("Mr or Mrs") by name and said his company (don't even remember a name given) has been doing maintenance work on a number of homes in our area and do we need any maintenance work done on our home? I agree with the others who have gotten this call that it's strange and I'm suspicious of the reason.

He called and said my name over and ove on my answer machine ,creepy

Same thing as what Diane said, something about partnering with PG&E and solar energy. The other day I received another solicitor trying to sell me a roof. I tried to call the number back but the auto operator stated I dialed too few of numbers. This shouldn't be allowed. We should be able to call back someone/companies that are attempting to solicit us...especially when they just hang up on us! I will no longer answer these calls, because luckily I have caller id!

The guy identified himself to me as David Johnson with the Energy Center - I don't buy it, and I'm following up. He definitely tried to be pretend to be with PGE at first

A male called from this number and knew my first name.  He said he was from PG&E and wanted to ask me some questions.  He seemed shady so I hung up.

Got a call from this number (925-168-4577).  Shady dude asking for person who lives in this house by first name.  Conversation went something like this:

"XYZ?"
"What?"
"This XYZ?"
"What do you want?"
"XYZ?"
"He's busy.  What do you want?"
"You sure you not XYZ?"
"Ugh.  Want to leave a message?"

And he hung up.

Just got a call from this number and I couldn't understand the talking caller ID say "name unavailable" so I picked up.  No answer.  Very creepy!

Today...same as Sue's remarks.  Something very fishy going on.

12:50 pm 9/27/2013 picked up long pause, no response, and hung up.  Called back number no seems doesn't exist.  Possible checking for people are home or not.  BEWARE!!!

Just now got the same call asking me by name, said company he was calling from (which he said quickly/mumbly and couldn't understand what he said), and then asked if I was satisfied with my home and if it needed any repairs.  I said, "I don't know how you got my name, but I don't even know who the heck you are!"  He said, "I feel I was quite explicit.....".   Needless to say, I didn't give him a chance to finish and hung up on him.  

Beware people!!!

Man called and asked for my mom by name, but when I have the phone to her he had already hung up! Weird!

Called - didn't answer - they didn't leave a message.

Got a call today from this #, the # looked strange so I didn't answer.  Ive never seen a 168 exchange in the 925 area code.  They hung up before my answer machine kicked in (4 rings).  I was right about the exchanges, I looked up all the exchanges for 925 area code and no exchange that starts with the #1 even exist, this is definitely a spoofed number, which as I persistantly report should be illegal.

Had a call today.  He seemed to be asking for work around the house, but I terminated the call when his questions became a bit bizarre.
