just got my 3rd call in the last 4 days from them   no answer and I just hung up now

My husband googled it www.silobreaker.com and typed in Moraga police department and it is in fact an "organization that does NOT exist!
I phoned back after pressing *67 and they say the same thing. I told him that I'd be reporting him.

Got a call from Moraga, CA this morning and didn't answer it.  I'm glad to have read this message board so I know that this is a scam call.  I'm on a do not call list but get so many scammy calls.

i have friends in moraga, so i thought it might be one of them.  as i didn't have my cell phone available to verify this, on a whim, i googled the number.  i'm glad to know that i'm not the only one receiving the calls.

My phone rang twice, did not pick it up and blocked call 925-235-1146: and reporting to DNC

Have had several calls from this number this year - often leaves a message where a recorded voice says "Hello? Hello?" and then disconnects - I'm on a really really tight budget and these calls are adding up - this caller is burning up my minutes and REALLY don't appreciate that!!!

Caller stated he was with the Fraternal Order of Lodges supporting Police Officers.  He asked for donations for a scholarship fund for the children of officers killed in the line of duty.

I guess he forgot to read  Section 6811 of the California Education Code.  In part it reads;
Under this act no fees or tuition of any kind shall be required of or collected by
the regents of the University of California (68120) or the Trustees of the California State University (68121) from any surviving child, natural or adopted, of any resident of the state of California who was killed in the performance of his/her duties as a law enforcement officer/firefighter in the State of California.
The waiver of fees and tuition is handled by the state-supported college or university the surviving child plans to
attend. When applying, the student must make the college or university aware of the fact that he or she is a surviving child of a law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, and qualified for tuition-free education under Section 68121 of the Education Code known as the Alan Pattee Scholarship Act.

annoyingly 925-235-1146 Moraga has been calling my phone numerous times a day for several days after reading these comment i called it back and on a speech he went. I let him know that anyone who calls me multiple times a day and week wont be getting my money and requested that he take my # off his list!

I think it's about time those of us who use our phones legitimately get on the phone company's sorry butts and FORCE them to put an end to these type of calls. As it stands now they patently refuse to take any action even though they are perfectly capable of doing so because these telemarketers make certain they are never delinquent on the phone bill payments. If enough of us complain to the California Public Utilities Commission, they just might take action...that is of course, if the commission isn't populated by retired AT&T CEO's.

Call on home phone. Didn't answer but based on other's input on this site, I would suspect it is phony. Due to the Boston bombing, police are currently in a good light so the opportunity to rip off people in the name of police benefit is ripe for the taking by these scum bags.

Received a call from this number.  Normally I do not pick up if I do not know who it is but since it listed a local city I did - no answer.  Thanks for all the comments; if they call again I will block their #.

I just got a call from some Fraternal Order of Lodges supporting Police Officers or something like that. I asked him again if it was the Police Officers Association and he gave me the official sounding name again. He wanted to send me a fundraising kit, but didn't ask for money over the phone. When I mentioned that my brother, father, aunt and uncle were all police officers, he said "Oh I'm sorry" and hung up!

Yes, they tried me yesterday. Now they are call-blocked from my telephone. I do not know why I am on a list for these types of fraud operations because I have NEVER given any of them money or information and never will - and I have an unlisted number. My thanks to the a$$hole business that sold my number; I wish I knew who they are.

Caller ID says "MORAGA CA." A common bogus law enforcement association calling for donations. Our local sheriff has said that these are all scams, and that we should never make donations.
