So, its funny to me how so many people can put information on here without knowing anything about what they are talking about. Renavati is a company that hires college students mainly to gather information for Colleges. If you had never put your number into the internet asking for them to call you, they wouldnt. Their system runs like most, on an automated dialer. Its what is calling you, not the rep. While not all the reps may know how to stop the calls, managers can. If you get calls and you tell a rep you dont want to be called, and they call you again, ask for a manger, sometimes its just training. They are doing their jobs like anyone else. They are not harrassing you, nor are they selling you anything. You asked for information on College, and they recruit for serveral different colleges. Some actually are accredited (I would know I went there) and some are not, they simply pass your information to the college, its up to you to do the homework on that school not them.

On another note I personally think this company has shady employment issues...they dont pay their employees what they tell them they are going to but they are legitimate workers just trying getting paid to call you becuase YOU TOLD SOME WEBSITE YOU WANTED A CALL !!!

If you are already in a program then why in the world are you online putting your phone number in request forms for college?

I have been getting calls every hour on the hour from about 8:30am until 9:30pm.  I have actually spoken to a person and told them in no uncertain terms that I was NOT INTERESTED and they keep trying to talk me into a program somewhere.  When I say that I already have a program they keep at it.  Somehow I think the people simply do not listen not do they care.  The calls stop for about 2 days and then they start again.  It is most annoying.  So much for that do not call list.

Did any of you set up a Google Voice number? This number started calling me and a freind only after we set this up. I'm afraid it has compromised my personal phone number :(

this is one of several numbers used by "criminal justice" recruitments. IT IS A SCAM. they have moltiple numbers, and call endlessly. in some cases they are known to threaten you with jail time if you dont answer their questions. DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING

This is a college recruitment center. Apparently my son was interested in information about a criminal justice online program and made an inquiry. They called back, but were sketchy about leaving the name of their company. I had to ask twice and point out that it was odd they would not tell me. The company is Renavati - not so sure about the spelling. They would like to verify addresses and pass the information on to for-profit colleges to try to recruit youth into their program. I would advise listening to the NPR report on the swindling happening with these programs. Classes are NOT accredited, classes do NOT transfer to a standard university, student are left with thousands in debts and nothing to show for it.

I tired of this crap of this stupid number calling me. I'm saving that number for the police or whoever then get it traced. I will put a stop to it. FED UP !

They called a few times but didn't leave a message - and I finally I answered - She asked to speak to my boss by name but wouldn't tell me what for - She said he had requested information about schools or colleges - a lead or link that he may have clicked on online.  TOTAL BUNK - but I played along like I really wanted to give her great customer service and have him call her as soon as he had a chance - she gave me the number (925) 264-3734 and I called right back and asked them to remove his number from their solicitation list.  She was very nice about it - we'll see if the calls stop.

this is a great company! they're just doing their jobs. they help quite a bit with giving you options for specific schools in your area. they won't call you unless you've requested information.

Beth, you are one special freaking idiot. What does hanging up solve? If you would stay on the phone for a few more seconds, you might find out that you're getting a call because you, or someone in your household was stupid enough to put their phone number in a request form for information about colleges. How about, instead of acting like an ignorant bi*** and making stupid threats before hanging up like a 9 year old, you let them explain the situation, and then explain the situation back, admit that you were foolish with your personal information, and ask them to kindly remove you from the list. You see, when people hang up, the caller assumes they are assuming they're telemarketers, cold calling innocent people at random. The people have to understand who they are and that they were calling because it was requested, before they stop.

Try ANSWERING THE PHONE....and politely asking them to take the number off the list.  Guess what?  I work at this call center. And we don't call anyone who hasn't filled out a form showing interest in career college program.  All you have to do is ask them to take your name off the list and they will.  And then, stop putting your number on the internet.

Called the number back. The guy answered by asking "Did you receive a call from this number?" I said yeah Stop calling me! And all he kept saying was I Apologize. I told him if they didnt stop id be contacting authorities and then I hung up.
