Got the same call...same prizes only this guys name was Chris Klu.  Maybe he's the one who needs the clue to quit scamming phone calls!

Received message about winning 2012 Explorer. Call 1-888-279-5387. Did not call. Thought "do not call" list was supposed to stop this stuff. Caller ID showed Award Claims with return number 931-548-1759.

Same spiel, different name. Crystal. 888-279-5387. I did call back to check whether it was real, got a voice mail. Don't expect to hear back again, but if I do I'm now prepared. Thanks all!

Received a call this morning.

I knew as soon as she said " have a blessed day" that it was a scam!......How stupid do they think we are....

I also got a call.  No name given as to who was calling but I had also won a 2011 Ford Explorer or $25,000.  They did call me by my last name.  But not my first.  I have not played any games or sweepstakes so I knew it was a scam

I too got the same call! The VM/caller said they had closed the contest and I had been picked as a winner - to recv $25,000 in cash or a 2011 Ford Explorer - or one of 3 other top prizes if I wanted to choose.... I will not be calling back...  uugh : (

Just got the same call to go to Merrell's Inlet.  Glad I checked here first.  Saved a wasted trip for a time share scam.  Thanks to all for posting.

Got a message from Renee and checked here first. call came from 931-388-0458, call back was 888-279-5387 for the 2010 explorer and/or $25K. thanks for the other posts, silliness...

i got the same phone call from a woman named krista dawson and all the prizes were the same the TV, Ford Explorer or $25000. i called back and all that i got was a voice mail

Almost went to Canal Place. Exact same call and details. Thanks to the posters here for saving my family a lot of headache. I hope the people responsible, Renee especially, all die painful slow deaths.

I got a call today from a "Renee" from the same number,said i had one one of three prizes as well. She wasnt very friendly, dont remember exactly where she said I had to go to pick up my "prize" but the distance was well ober and hour and a half drive, tols me that I would be there ans hour to and hour and a half, when I asked why it took so long just to pick up the prize, she stated that I would be sitting through a presentation, well if I have alrady won a prize, why would I have to sit through a 90 minute spill, (to explain hoe to work the TV, spend the money, or teach me to drive) she huffed ans finally admitted this was a TIMESHARE presentation, and the TV, money and for explorer where the grand prizes, what most people will get will be a vacation, which you will have to pay a deposit when you book ( been suckedinto this before, so I knew how this worked) and will also have to pay taxes and the trip as well. the only ting covered is your hotel roon, which is usually a roach 39.99 motel.... the rest of the trip comes out of your pocket, food, drinks, entertainment, etc.... SO BEWARE OF THESE CALLS...... its only a ploy to get you to sit thru a timeshare....well i spoke with her quite a while, just to get te info i wanted, then when I told her I didnt have a MAJOR credit card, she just hung up, figured i wasted too much of her time when she could have already dialed several other folks who arent hip to their game.... guess these people work on commission so if they cant get you to attend, they figure its no use in talking to you anymore.... word to thier employers if you would give them an hourly wage, maybe they wouldnt be so rude to the people on the other end, and you might actually have some takers.....

Had the same call on answer machine... "call back, was possitive winner, call back to verify and they would right down to New Orleans to deliver prize"  Yeah, right.  Three prizes and we all won one of them!!!

I got the same call from a woman. the ford explorer 2010,25000.00 in cash.  She said call her back and she would send me to murrels inlet to pick up my gift. I decided to check here first.

Hey I recieved the same call. However, this time was a woman. I do not remeber her name, but it was the same awards, the car, the tv or the 25000$
I asked her about why I have recieved those awards. She told me that I was participating in a contest that when I went to walmart, and bought somthing I was put in the lotery. Then, she got tired because I was making to many question, and she hook up.

I just got a call from the same # and the same guy gary. he told me about the prizes also TV, 25,000 cash prize or Ford truck etc... he also told come to 365 canal place and that i needed two forms of ID, picture and CREDIT CARD..!!?? I him let continue to run his mouth, then i told him i dont have any credit cards. he hung-up in a flash.. So i decided to take it a step futher and call canal place to see if it was legit. But of course the desk clerk with a minium wage attitude blew me off B@#%&H!! I suggest if you get this phone call, call canal place 504-587-1450

I just received the same type of message on yesterday.  His is name was Gary from The Awards claims Center@SMGINC.us.  He me that name phone number and email address was selected for 3 Prizes.  I tried to verify my address, martial status and first and last name. He me to come to Canal Place across from Harris Casino on Sunday to pick up either the TV, 25,000 cash prize or Ford truck.  Gave me a confirmation #.  After the phone call, he call right back as well.
I believe its a Sham as well.

the same guy named Gary just called and said the same thing to my voicemail. I don't answer numbers I don't know. So I googled the # and it led me to this post. I hate scam artists. How can they get away with this?

I got a phone call from this number of which a guy said his name was Gary. He said I won a contest with a choice of either a Ford Explorer or $25,000 cash. He knew my address phone # and email address. He gave me the # 888-279-5387 to call back, so its obviously behind some sort of Firewall. I'm pretty sure its a scam.
