I have Xfinity/Comcast service so I went to the Xfinity Call Screening website to get instructions on blocking this call. Dial *80 and follow instructions. Enter the phone number from GE Money. They will receive a message that you are not accepting calls from you.

Please Block my Phone Number to this out of state Number.  I took care of this bill.  I called the 800 Number for J. C. Penney.  It is very annoying to get calls late at night or really early in the morning from this number.  I made payment arrangements with J C Penney Credit Services.  Please, please stop calling me.

I have had the same number for 18 years and took it with me when I moved to a new house.....I keep getting calls for the former owner of the house I moved to on my number.  On top of it, it is a computer asking me to hold for a operator.

They have called our home repeatedly for the past couple of days. I simply called them back, and it was an automated machine for JC Penny Credit Card services. They asked for an account number, I simply hit 0, it then asked for the social security number of the card holder, again I hit 0. It then transfered me to an actual person named Kevin. He answered with "Thank you for calling JC Penny Card Services may I have your account number?" I responded with "I dont have an account number, or a credit card with JC Penny and I've gotten about 20 calls within the past couple of days," and then I asked "Why are you calling me?" He asked for the phone number of the phone that we get the calls on, I gave it to him, he then looked it up in the system, asked for my name and then responded with, "I'm very sorry sir, may I please have the phone number again?" I give it to him, and then he asked for my full name. I give it to him, and then he responds with, "These calls were made in error, you have been taken out of our system and will not be recieving anymore calls." He then stated that "It may take a couple of days to take effect, and we are very sorry for this inconvience."

This number calles me all day long even on sundays. I answer and they do not say anything. We do not have a JC pennyes card and never had had one. Caller ID UNKNOWN NAME 937-524-2094

This number calls me about 5 times a day starting as early as 7am. So annoying and they never leave a message!

The DoNotCall Registry applies to telemarketers (people who are trying to sell you something) and does not apply to debt collectors.

Recv'd call today from this number -- said they were JCPenney trying to collect a $60.00 bill.  Asked me to get my checkbook out and make arrangements for a withdrawal.  I told them I didn't own Penny's money and hung up.  I haven't used my Penny card in ages...either they called the wrong person or they were trying to scam me for money.  BEWARE!!!

I think this is a bill collector.  Most bill collectors will call you the maximum times allowed by law just to be jerks and/or attempt to get you on the phone.  When they call you, actually answer the phone.  DON'T ARGUE WITH THEM ABOUT THE DEBT YOU MIGHT OWE.  Get the name of the company, their mailing address and your "account number" attached to the debt and the original debtor (if they have it).  Thank them for their time and GET OFF THE PHONE!!!

Then, you'll need to write them a "Cease and Desist" letter.  You can Google "Cease and Desist for bill collectors" or something like that and find a TON of them.  Make two copies of the letter -- one for them and one for your records.  Send their copy by Certified Mail so they have to sign and you get a copy of the signature.  This way, you KNOW they received it.  Once they get that letter, by law, they have to stop calling you.  If they call again, you can report them to the FCC and they'll be fined.

THIS WORKS WITH ALL BILL COLLECTORS!!  IF THEY CONTINUE CALLING YOU, THEY ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW AND CAN BE FINED AND/OR SHUT DOWN!!!

REMEMBER, THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR DEBT GO AWAY -- YOU STILL OWE AND NEED TO PAY THE DEBT.  This will ONLY stop the annoying phone calls.
