Fax, out of control....please stop...

This number, and other 940 and 817 numbers, have called our business lines multiple times.  No fax (sounds like a fax tone),no way to look them up or ask them to stop calling. Companies affiliated with these numbers are: Affordaphone Inc., Max-Tel Communications, Inc.  Filing a Junk Fax 1088 Form with the FCC and filing a complaint with the FTC, recommend you do so as well.  The more people who report this, the louder we are, the faster authorities may to something about it.

What these people are doing is called "War Dialing" and it is prohibited by the FCC.  War dialing is an attempt to see if a phone line can accept faxes.  "Alternative Res/Rec" calls my 800#.  I have the phone bills to prove it.  File a complaint with the FCC (esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm), I did.
