Robert...I'm a lawyer with 25+ years of practicing law - both criminal and civil, and I wouldn't bother taking a case from someone who's being bothered by these kind of calls...
About the only sustainable argument there is in your rant is that they do cause emotional distress, and the onus pro bandi would be upon you to prove the calls have done that, and to a degree that would meet the
legal definition and requirements of emotional distress in the eyes of the court...
You pass that on to your lawyer??? And what is he (or she) going to do about it??? No disrepect intended Robert, but ranting like you did is more than likely false bravado by the sound of it...
Like you, I too have been bothered by these calls, but taking civil action against whoever is behind these calls??? I can't stop laughing at the thought of you trying to do that and be successful...
My suggestion is get Caller ID if you don't already have it, and if you can block calls from such numbers, then by all means do so - it's more cost effective. If you see this number on your Caller ID, simply don't answer it...
FYI - I contacted Google's HQ, and spoke to a very helpful young lady there, and she said Google is not behind these calls, and has no involvement with anyone who is...
It is what it is - a scam! Someone is using the Google name to perpetuate their scam. The folks at Google are aware of it. The young lady told me she didn't know. I would think their lawyers would have several coureses of action open to them however...

Go ahead ... continue to call me, my phone records the day and time you call...I pass that on to my lawyer. See kids, this is what happens when you don't graduate grade school. You become a feaking phone solicitor. I am 100% on all Federal Do Not Call lists and this is a private cell phone you idiots.
