this number had a way nice car forsale way too cheap

I just recieved a text message from this number just reading "H". I did not respond since I am very suspicios of any unfamiliar numbers/emails. I called the number from another phone and got arecorded response, "please speak your name after the tone and google will..." I hung up at that point.

Rude as heck telemarketer for "merchant services".

my dad got a call from this number and it says "Legal Network" on the caller ID. Im having a hard time convincing him not to deal with these people. They promise to knock his mortgage down 800$ + with a Loan Mod. They want his first payment of 1052$ I think its a scam and im trying to find out more.

received a recorded call on December 21, 2011, at 2:50 p.m. MST that implied that call was from "the county" and that there is a "fraudulent mortgage loan" on property.

Hung up and called county and inquired if they were making such calls; reply was no. called *69 and obtained  the (949) 427-0608 number for last incoming call. Called number and was told that the number was not receiving incoming calls.

I am going to post this anyway.

949-427-0608 called saying I had a problem with my morgage. It comes from an area that tried to give me a false loan that I did not request.  My wife and I went to an office. We were about to sign for the loan. We did not sign because the loan terms had been changed. Later I think that they falsely added my name.       This happen back in 2000. To this day I still have not received a correct cerdit report. If this is the same crooks, why are they not in jail. Shame on the people that have let these crooks cheat more innocent  People. If this is the same people, they are making false loans.

This is the message you get if you log a complaint with the Do No Call Registry:

"Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action."

Do not let this discourage you from filing a complaint.  After the complaint get put into the database, I personally intend on contacting the police department or Sheriff's agency with jurisdiction over these areas.  If I do not get an adequate reply, I'll forward those responses to the Attorney General for that state.  With enough complaints, someone will eventually do something.  If a report is taken, then that report info becomes available for civil action.

I got this same call today too.  Of course I know mine's not fraudulent, I've had it for years.

I got the call too. They're waiting for an older or more naive person to answer the phone and go into a panic of fear. Then they will offer to help ripping that person off. That is what i surmise. Why else would they hangup in our ear. it is not the type of person they are looking for knowing we can't be ripped off easily!

Why is this number calling me?

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy, received call at 4:55 pm today:  Tele 949 427 0608, California on caller I.D. "Your loan may be fraudulent, press 1 for more info.  I pressed 1, a man answered.  I asked "Why do you say my loan is fraudulent?"  He: "Has to do with loans between 1995 & 2008 that were....mumbled words...re wrongly issued loans".  Me:  What is the name of your company?"  He:  "Mortgage Release Service.  We are a certified auditing company."  Me:  "How did you get my name and number?"  With that he hung up.  Revenge sometimes comes from asking them questions without showing anger, just curiosity, wasting their time as they have invaded and wasted mine!  Hasn't any official resource tracked these guys down?

This was exactly my experience - got the call on my cell phone and when I called back it wanted me to leave a message... Google Voice, huh?  Sure, I'll leave a message for someone who won't identify themself, would you like my legal name, SS number and driver's license number?
I wrote that like I was joking but I am seriously tired of the bogus calls coming in.  Yesterday there were 19 calls, between my cell and home phones, that I couldn't identify.  Today I decided to answer these calls and almost all of them do not speak when I say "hello" 3 times.  Leave me alone, aight????

Received call from "Susan Smith" saying my mortgage may be fraudulent. Obviously a scam. How are they getting our numbers?

Rcvd call saying our mortgage was fraudulent and underwater...odd since house has been paid in full for a few years..guy hung up on me!

Left no message. Just another scam job.

Mortgage fraud scam from a low life telemarketer.  At least I yelled at them until they hung up. Made me feel better!

A call from this number stating it is "Maricopa County Records"  As provided I dialed one to talk to a human.  I had a long day and took a chunk out of his backside until he hung up on me.  I hope I made his day worse than just working for a low life telemarketer.  It appears to be some type of mortgage fraud.

I received a call from this number today when I called back it sent me to someones voice mail by the name of daniel agosian? when I called it again it said it was from google and to satte my name to try to connect me. I called a third time and it sent me to daniels voice mail again! It's a mans voice with a spanish like accent.

No message.  Caller ID showed "Lake Forest, CA."

A recorded message said "County Records" showed there was a problem with my mortgage, and they could help me out. I clicked "1" as per their instructions to get more information. I asked for the name of their company, and what information they had about my mortgage. They hung up on me. My mortgage has no problems: I have no late payment over a 10 year period, and am close to paying it down. These guys are scumbags. Is there name "Home Service Mortgage?" I will try to find out, and try to shine some sunlight on them.

same info as medved and connie. wish i had pressed one to hear the rest of the message. unbelievable. can no one shut these annoying calls down? i never answer calls from unknown numbers but did today since i was expecting an important phone call and my caller ID didn't work.

I got a call today also. Caller ID just showed "CALIFORNIA". Robocall. I think she said she was susan [something] that I may have a fraud mortgage and they can refi it at a reduced rate. I guess I hung up before the "press 1" stuff since I don't have a mortgage.

Wish there was some way to find where these scumbags hide.

I called them back, got the Google answering service and told them to call giving them the number of our local District Attorney

Caller stated she was a Susan somebody from County Records and my mortgage was fradulent and they could help me if I press 1.  Then it said if I do not have a mortgage to just hang up which was what I was going to do.  If they knew I have a fradulant mortgage why did they add that?  BTW I do not have a mortgage.

Apparently some 'Google Subscriber' as per the recording I got when I called it back.

Initially it asks for your name, in order to 'appropriately direct your call' to Lord knows who . . . .  after which the line rings again and lets you leave a voice message for whatever 'Google Subscriber' that is currently unavailable.   Sorry I can't provide any more info than that - but it is obviously some scammer or telemarket -  that somehow got my unpublished phone number(that I pay extra for) AND completely disregarded the National 'Do Not Call List' database where my phone is additionally listed.

Maybe the phone companies should start some program for the rest of us to report such issues, maybe start charging them some type of fee for every complaint they get from the general public . . .
