They hung up when I answered with "Hello"

Seems that they found another number - they usually call from 951-281-3729.

They keep calling us too and I'm pretty sure they start their conversation saying they are from AT&T and they want to help us save money on our long distance service. I always say "no thanks, I like to spend more money!" and hang up right away.
Isn't it against the law to impersonate a different company?

Crazy B*%CH keeps calling saying we owe AT&T Money. We dont! A different lady from the same CTEL number said she "wanted to save us line charges" on our AT&T bill. What is it? We owe you money or you trying to change our service? These guys are a TOTAL SCAM from my point of view. Probably calling from some prison somewhere... They gave us a fake AT&T phone number to check us out on... I hope all these folks get thrown in jail. Shame on them.

we receive calls from CTEL daily at our business. when asked for the "person in charge of your AT&T phone bill" i always ask for a return phone number, sometimes they just hang up, other times they get combative. It must be hard to have the WORST job in the world, as their attitudes reflect.

These people call constantly, say they're from AT&T and want to discuss our calling plan. They won't take no for an answer so I just hang up but they continue to call. What a huge waste of time!

They just called our office. They wanted to speak to the person that handles the phone bill. I asked for more detail. And they wanted to see if wanted to verify that a bunch of international calls were placed on the line.
I said the man they wanted to talk to was busy and if I could get their number to have him call back.
She proceeded to give me 800-750-2335, with her badge #8032

I am getting these calls every single day. Sometimes more than once a day. Say they want to talk about the AT&T account and if I ask if they are from AT&T, they hang up. So annoying.

This is a number for Preferred Long Distance. They will ask you to switch long distance to them. I was told by Tiffani (southern accent) that they are the only company with a contract with AT&T to provide this service and that AT&T since it's a monopoly has to sell of services to other vendors. She called a bunch of times until I told her that I talk to AT&T (which is true) and was unable to confirm her company's information. She wanted to know who I talked to because "they can get in a lot of trouble for saying that." I ended the conversation by saying we were not switching as it wouldn't be a cost savings and didn't appreciate the deception. Weird because she couldn't email or mail anything in writing but directed me to website. Deception is never the best way to earn business....

I received a call from this number and they wanted me to switch from my ATT business account. Called back and voicemail is full. They call my business all of the time.

Same thing happened to me - they asked if I was the owner of the AT&T account, and then they said their name was Darias when I asked who was calling. I called them, but the mailbox was full.

They called and a young sounding girl with a southern accent asked for the manager without identifying herself. I said that person was not in and she just said "I'll call back later" I think it is the same people who call from 679-475-9090 and 301-779-7501 - all the same scam.

Called, asked for my supervisor, hung up when I said he wasn't available. I called ph# and it said the mailbox full. They call daily, annoying waste of time.

Got a call a couple days ago, no talking, at least to me, but there seemed to be a conversation going on between two or three people. Sounded like it was an accidental dial-out, but could have been a commercial playing in the background, I don't know. Got a call again today, no sound. So it obviously wasn't an accidental dial-out.

ask them if they worked for at&t, they are trying not to admitted so they can trick you to sign up their service. refuse and ask them to remove your number

I answered and they wanted to speak to the person in charge of our AT&T bill. (I said they weren't in...) I googled CTEL, is it City telecom from Hong Kong?? And why?
