guy calling says his name is Mike ellsworth. he is completely and totally rude and calls back every thirty minutes. this guy should be prosecueted for harassment. He calls back just to say you have missed the opportunity we signed your competitor. GOOD JOB. YOU SIGNED A GUY I CALLED ON HIS PERSONAL CELL AND TOLD HIM WHAT A TERD YOU WERE. brilliant you freaking loser.

Got a call today, a woman asked for "owner" and when I asked who was calling she hung up abruptly. RUDE! Anyone with that kind of a policy (sounds like it's a corporate philosophy as soon as they determine you're not going to be a sale they waste no time on niceties) is super shady and NOT someone to give business to.
Called back and the receptionist was friendly and said she'd take my number off the list. They better.

Got a call today asking me if I could take more business on in 2-4 weeks.....Sorry, just had to hang up!
unbelievable! 2011-06-06 21:07:55 Unknown
I decided not to use them after a few phone calls back and forth, and you wouldn't believe how many times they call my phone. Just today, I kid you not... 8 times. 11:32, 11:37, 2:02, 2:04, 2:09, 2:11 and 2:13. Who in their right mind thinks that if I do happen to answer the phone, that I'd buy anything at all?? I agree with the above poster. Sales is one thing, but crazy desperate sales people is another.

It is so funny to ready these comments. Solictors, advertising, sales calls, you guys act like those are four letter words. My company recieved a call from elocal. The caller gave it her best shot, but i was just not interested. I use to just be rude and hang up (like most of you), but then one day I realized, um... don't I do the same thing with the two business I own. I love it when I run into business owners with larger than life NO SOLICITING signs, or who are completely rude when they get sales calls. Imagine where your business would be if every prospect you had closed the door in your face, or was just plain rude and hung up on you. It's sales baby :) What goes around comes around so keep on being rude. I can't seem to rember the last business I came across that did not have to sale something to someone or provide a service of some kind, hmm.... pretty sure you had to convince someone to use you or buy from you.

They called around 11:30 am, twice in a row, left no message. I am also a small business owner. I called the number back and received a voice systems saying "Thank you for calling E-local listings, an e-marketing specialist."
paul 2011-06-06 21:07:55 Unknown
called but left no message - good that i read these comments; get a little tired of all the unsolicited junk i receive due to utilizing the internet for advertising.

Recieved a call from this woman named Susan. First she stumbled on her "speech", then she couldn't get the name of her own company right. She asked for the person who handles advertising. I told her we don't use comercials to advertise, we are much more sophisicated than that to use a commercial to get our business noticed have. We deal with high end corporate businesses, nothing mediocre here. Suits and ties here folks!

they called me too, twice, did not leave a message.
s 2011-06-06 21:07:55 Unknown
Called twice, left no message, small business owner so it must be a sales call. Tagged it under my do not answer category for sales on my cell. If any of you advertise on a site such as craigslist, this is how they get our #'s
La Dee Dah 2011-06-06 21:07:55 Unknown
They called, left a message telling me they were looking for the service I offer (small business owner) in "Greenley". I live in "Greeley". Well they can keep looking as I am not about to be solicited for advertising.

Caller kept asking me, if my auto detailing busines could use a substancial client who needs lots of work. After listening to him and answering that i would like and can handle more work (3 times), I asked him what he was selling; he answered 'advertising'. Well at least he was finally honest! CLICK! He got 3 minutes of my cell phone use. How can I block these 'leeches' from getting through on my cell? John in San Diego.

Called me twice, left no message, think they got my number from a listing in the classifieds for my local newspaper, anyway I own a lawn mowing business so an add in the search engines wouldn't help much

I used to work for E Local Listings. I worked there for a month about 3 years ago. The company is crap. They sell crap and have shady people working for them. There are so many ways to do what they are trying to sell wich is search engine optimization. You don't need to pay someone to do. Do your homework. Try GoDaddy, but whatever you do, do not go to E Local. They pull phone #s off the interenet and the phone book and just keep calling. They don't have a computerized list so there is no way for them to remove your number if you choose to.

They just called. must of been my fax line which can also take messages.. .. they just start talking with no clue as to what you do as a business. Standard boiler room war-dialing telemarketers.
jim 2010-06-10 02:44:04 Unknown
These guys are ignorant as someone can be. There ways of promoting someone's website are just outwright laughable for some one who knows even a little about internet marketing. There are million better ways one can spend his $50 a month. I know one sucker who was using their service for a YEAR with exactly zero new customers, and when he called to cancel in 12 month they would not stop charging his credit card and he had to cancel his credit card and get a new one.
annieoakley 2010-05-18 22:24:12 Unknown
Oh, yeah, like I'd listen to anyone that doesn't know the difference between their and there! I bet you work for them!

Just got a call from someone demanding to speak with "owner." When I asked who was calling, she hung up on me! That was weird, but somewhat satisfying. I called back and hit 0 to talk to their reception and just told them to take my name off their list. GROSS!
