Called my place of work and claimed to be Southern California Edison (electric company), Dexter, the callers name, told me that a bill had not been payed and that we had 2 hours to pay it before the power would be turned off. Said that they don't accept debit or credit cards, and only want a specific kind of money order. A money order like this can't be traced back to them. I ended up calling them back and informing them what pieces of s*** they are, then I called the cops.
We don't have Edison in the area I work in, we have DWP.

I got a call from this number about a payday loan.  They will not tell me when the loan was taken and why they could not get any money for the loan.  They donot have something essential they need to take money out of your account.  I asked for them what in particular they wanted from me and they want me to put it on a credit card. I am filing charges with the FTC and I am waiting to get their papers in the mail. This is a scam.  I have not taken a loan from them.  I think these are the same people who wanted to give me a car loan I didn't want and are angry I didn't follow thru.

money from anyone who believes them.  They try to scare you to death and are very intimidating.  Don't believe these people.  It is a fraud.   Some guy called saying his name was a Jack Marshall from Morgan & Associates Law Office.  Giving me 2 hrs. to pay them $400.00.  What a rip off!

Where can I go to place a fraud alert on my SSN.

I received a call this morning. Claiming I was being sued for a loan from january of 2010 to my credit union account. Which I never got a loan and the credit union even says I never received any type of loan. When asked they told me everything from address to san even down to my debit card numbers. Claiming I was due in court at 11am Monday morning. That I was being charged for federal check fraud. I contacted the DA of orange county n riverside in CA. They aren't showing anything on the court documents that I have a case against me. This is crazy cause they got me really upset over this. Everytime I call they want answer or tell me to have my lawyer call them. But unfortunately no lawyer in Nc will call you have to get a lawyer in CA to handle it for you. When n if I ever find out who it is I'm kicking an a**. Also the guy calling is claiming to be an officer of the police department in CA. He goes by Officer Wombat.

I just received a call from these people as well.  They are also claiming to be an attorneys office in California. Telling me they want to go over my charges. They said there client USA CASH NOW or something if suing me for 4000 for a pay day loan. I never ever received any pay day loans. I had applied once when my car broke down but then declined everything. The highest I was even offered was 400. Ultimately I never took a loan. SO i was able to look them up prior to speaking with them and I said I am sorry I never took a loan and he said yes you did. I said I already looked you up and you are listed as a fraudulent company. He then said something with some names and having a letter in 3 hours and hung up on me?? Who are these people.

I TO HAVE BEEN RECIEING THESE CALLS, AT HOME AND AT WORK. I FOUND THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE IT ITS TO TELL THEM SEND THE COURT DOCS TO YOU AND DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO. THEY USAULLY DONT CALL BACK. GET ALL THE INFO U CAN THOUGH FIRST WHO U GO THE LOWAN FROM WHEN WHERE AND THE BANK IT WENT TO.

Ditto pretty much everything from above.  Said I borrowed money I did not and threatening to sue me.  Got names of alleged law firm and filed complaint with FTC per my bank.  Changed my checking account number and put fraud alert on my ssn.

I have been getting calls from this number at work also stating that I took out a loan that I never received.  They claim that they are an attorney's office.I want to know how to stop these guys and better yet give them a taste of what they're dishing out.  I am tired of these people trying to get over on hardworking people.  I don't have the time!

I have been getting calls for weeks. They have even been harassed @ my job.some people have no shame.

I have received several voice mails from someone from this number stating that someone is filing charges against me and that they have my Social Security number.  I have not returned their calls because I have been through this before.  It is a scam.  The best thing to do is to file a report on IC3.com.  This files it with the FBI so that they can track them down and arrest them.  Do not let them intimidate you and whatever you do, do NOT send them any money!

We have been receiving calls from this number along with the sister company in NY 347-478-5896 claiming I recvd a internet loan that was put into my bank account. i told them i have not recvd any loans they said yes you did. i told them they have the wronge person they said no we don't i asked them to give me the dob and ss# of the person they were looking for because one they were giving me my middle name not first and i have a cousin with that same name. when they gave the information it was completely wronge and i told them and they kept on that i was the person so i said when was the money deposited and into what bank they told me in may and some bank i have never even heard of. this is nothing but a scam they keep calling i had to get a lawyer involed and how they going to tell my lawyer they are from walmart and they are my friend so she put me on speaker with them and they said hold on i am sending u to the crimial office.

Got a call from this number claiming I am being sued for a pay day loan I never took.  They have all my information, and claim to be submitting court documents for a lawsuit for over $8000 even though the alleged loan was only $525.
