I got a message from my hospital pager from my bank! The message said to call this number to verify my account. When I tried, I got a computer message asking for my bank acct no. I hung up immediately, called the bank, and the hospital. The bank told me that they received several calls with the same complaint and told me to disregard it. The hospital operator told me that I was the second one who called regarding this. She told me that I was paged from long range number and so they had no way of tracking it. She informed her supervisor so that this can be investigated. How did they get into hospital pagers? This is freaking me out. I've heard of email phishing scams but this is ridiculous. People will stop at nothing, even going into hospital numbers to scam people.

Same as others messages said to call 951-824-9261 when I did it ask for my debt card number the full number.  No banking institute ask for this on  a computer call.  SCAM  SCAM  BEWARE

I received the same text. I spoke to SECU (a real banking institution). They said it is 100% SCAM. They are mainly based out of MD.

Received a text message entitled "SECU" that read as:

Schlumberger Employees CU please call us at (951)-824-9261 regarding restrictions placed on your account. Thank you.

I looked up SECU at www.secu.slb.com and its main number is 800-272-7328. Obviously, this is a fraudulent text message. My area code is 832 (Houston suburbs) and SECU gives several 281 (Houston suburbs) area codes. However, 951 is a California area code. Most importantly, I do not have an account with SECU and never did!

Beware! I emailed secu@slb.com to alert them of this issue.

Absolute fraud--certainly well known to whatever phone company is selling them service, and doesn't mind.
