Me, too.  I believe they buy old debt, add on "attorney's fees, court costs,etc" and use scare tactics to try to collect ridiculous amounts of money on debts that should be off one's records.  They start with this 'fraud investigation' thing, or verify address so that we can have papers served.  They have harrassed me at my job and told me that if I didn't call them back and tell them when I would be home, that they would have me called into my supervisor's office and have papers served on me at work.  That's a HUGE LIE; they cannot do that:  if the local court system is truly serving you with papers, then the local court officers decide when to serve papers.  THESE PEOPLE ARE RUTHLESS, and they're violating so many laws with their tactics.

Are they fake.... They did the same thing to me and I nearly lost my job.  What did you guys do?

I GOT A CALL SAYING THEY WERE TRYING TO SERVE ME A SUMMONS. THAT I DIDNT ANSWER MY DOOR. WHICH IS A LIE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HOME. THEY CALLED ME IN MY CELL PHONE. CRAZY PEOPLE THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE.

Just got off the phone with the credit card company that supposely Marvin is trying to collect from.  They said they had just sent today 09/12/2009 to a debt collection company.  I only owe 300 dollars on it and he wants me to settle out of court for 1600.00  can you believe this. They don't even have a website.  CSR cannot believe that and for me not to send the money!!!!!!

I got a call from this guy too... What do you do?.... He also called my supervisor regarding it almost got me fired.  That there was sheriff on his way regarding this etc.... Not sure what to do because I need to pay him by Friday....

I received a call from this guy too, asking if I was at home so the sheriff could come and serve me papers for my father's unpaid debt, that he was being sued for fraud.   I told him my father doesn't live here anymore, and he said he'd call the sheriff right away to stop him from coming to my house, then he told me to pass this info onto my father and that he would be served in his current home in another state.  So far, he's not been served.  I thought it was very fishy, and now I see he's a fraud.  I need to report him to the federal trade commission.

I wonder if Marvin Smith wrote this entry.

Know your rights when dealing with this guy, he's a loose cannon! Ask for his fax, send a cease & desist. He fequently breaks this order, which violates federal law. This can put him in a sticky situation. By the way he is being sued in several states for these violations.

Here's the skinny on this guy. Called him back, first it was WCG Litigations, next it was WCG Law, then it was WCG Fraud, Old Marvin couldn't even tell me what WCG stood for. Oh, and the number is a California number. So any of these stories of getting served are likely b***s***. So Marvin, hows about you quit trying to scare people and get a real job.

I'm sorry, but Marvin Smith found ya! I'm sorry thatyou got papers served! They are the one's commiting fraud by pretending to be a fraud investegater! Here's my conversation with {Marvin Smith}... After he introduces himself as{Marvin Smith} with W.C. fraud investigations,he goes on to ask if (John Doe) lives here...

RE;No.., {Smith}; We are investigating this person for fraud. RE; What kind of fraud? {Smith}; He's been using this address! RE;fraud for using our address? {Smith}; yes! RE; For how long? {Smith}...um..(pause),{Smith}; Nov.2006. Isn't it strange that I've not received even ONE piece of John Doe's mail in a period of 3 yrs. ~~~ OOOhhh~~KKKkkk! Sorry you got served! I'm also sick of telemarketer's, so a nice ~AIRHORN~ is babysitting my caller I.D.  Don't Start Nothing...Well you know the rest! Hope that you don't work 4 a service like them, you'll need hearing aids!

I ALSO RECEIVED A CALL FROM MARVIN SMITH REGARDING ME BEING SERVED A SUMMONS. I THOUGHT HE WAS LYING AND TOLD HIM TO GO AHEAD AND SERVE ME WHILE I WAS AT WORK. AROUND 1 HOUR AFTER TALKING TO HIM A SHERIFF CAME TO MY JOB AND SERVED ME WITH A SUMMONS. WHEN I WENT TO COURT THE JUDGE RULED IN THEIR FAVOR AND I WAS ORDERED TO PAY BACK THE DEBT, THE COURT COST, THEIR ATTORNEY FEES AND THEIR LEGAL FEES. THEY ARE NOW GARNISHING MY WAGES. I WISH I HAD DEALT WITH THIS SOONER!!

I received the same call today.  They have called me on my job, several months ago, in fact, with all of their scare tactics and foolishness.  As the call progresses, they give you some OUTRAGEOUS amount of a balance owed on an old debt, and tell you they'll settle, then ask for a bank or debit card number.  I told this person today that I knew he was lying, for I am in person bankruptcy, and NO creditor is supposed to contact me.  He proceeded to call me back, and leave a message that he would have papers served on me @ my job and have me called into my supervisors office.  THAT'S A LIE!!  The local court system makes that decision, and the Sherriff's Dept. serves you @ home; if they can't catch you  @ home, they send documents via USPS.  This dude identified himself as Household...something.  Him callin my job and telling the receptionist that he is trying to locate me to have papers served is illegal; it's a privacy violation.  To whom do we need to report to shut these people down?!  How much money have they already collected using these tactics?!

Called my mom, who is 73, looking for my brother. I called his number, phone message states "Western Capital." I called with the intention of asking:
1. Are you a credit collector?
2. Do you have a business license or a personal license
3. Give me your company's complete name and street address.
4. Do you have a supervisor, and who is this person and their phone number?
5. Do you have a signature on file related to these alleged fraudulent charges?
6. Have you performed a public records search related to the person you ar seeking?

Of course I never got a return call.

I also got a call today from this same person, Marvin Smith, looking for me about some fraud case which I have no knowledge about. The government should do something about this dope.

There was a call left with someone who knows me and I dont live with or near from  Marvin Smith he left a message on the answering machine saying he was looking for me and wanted to no when i will be there so the sheriff could come serve me something about fraud I am really pissed cause i have not done anything and if the sheriff was looking for me they would be able to find me.

An individual proceeded to call my father in seach of me. This individual, by the name of Marvin Smith, stated to my father that I was being sought for a pending bank fraud case. I have never recieved any communications in regards to this. This is a direct threat. Beware of anyone that calls from this number.
