This number called my sister's house, left a message saying that I was going to be sued and served with papers.  I have never lived at my sister's house, no idea how they would even know her phone number.  I have never received calls from this number on my own phone.

Threatening to call my job and get me fired. Said he was the California Attorney General. Indian man.

Just got a call today same Indian accent and wouldn't give me all of the information.  I then had a Captain from the police dept call them and they said it was a bad connection and hung up.  Then they called from "my local" police dept and told me they were coming to arrest me!! My police dept said NO!!

I work for a newspaper. We received an email from a company claiming to be opening a new store in our area and seeking staff. The number for the company in the email was this number (951) 878-9003 - which is not the same number as the business they claimed to be. The person's name is listed as Steve Sheridan for Carlson Enterprises which is a legitimate roofing company in Jacksonville, Florida as I found out on the web. I had to wonder why a roofing company in Florida needed to advertise in Bend, Oregon, so I responded back via email that i needed their Oregon Business license before I could give them a quote. Not sure what their game is in regards to newspaper advertising. This is what the ad said:

They called. I was sure it was a scam so I picked up phone and hung it up immediately and have now completely blocked them.

Received a call from a 951-878-0978 number on my cell and my work number claiming there is a lawsuit against my name and ssn and i need to call a Alex Cooper attorney to get details on my case. This man had a very thick middle eastern accent and could hardly speak clear English. I have never received such bogus calls and sounds very much like a scam. PLEASE DO NOT ENTERTAIN THIS CALL. IT IS A MONEY SCAM AND DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION. People are crazy these days. Protect yourself and your identity at all costs.

it is a scam dont listen to them id call the cops and when he calls again get them on the phone

I recieved calls from the on the 27th of june and left nasty messages i kept the messages and their is something we have to do about this.He was saying i was gonna get arrested if the money wasnt paid

it is an illegal scam trying to get money from you and raid your bank accounts...the group has obtained your personal info off the net from one of these payday scams ....
 block them if you can ...ignore them if you can't ...

These people have been calling non stop over the last few weeks. Pay day loans are illegal in my state, but because some are done over the internet, the NJ authorities cant do much. In any case, they call you and threaten you because if this ever did go to court, it would not hold up. Payday loans in most states are considered loan sharking because of thier jacked up interest rates on small amounts borrowed. Case in point, I had a collections notice for 1 payday loan telling me I owed them over $500. I was like WTH are they talking about? Litterally 1 week later they came back with a "settlement offer" that I only had to pay $55 3 time to settle loan. Its all crap. They cant do anything to you. Cannot garnish wages. No judge will ever award any pay day loan company that has random peeps from overseas calling and threatening you. Just in case anything ever happens, I have digital recordings of all phone calls, photos of calls on my work phone with the time and date stamp, and video of me listening to the messages or speaking with these crack pots while at work, also taping the witnesses to my conversation on speaker phone:)
The best is when they call saying they are officers of the Department Of Criminal Investigation, and I say, " whats your badge #? My Uncle is a US Federal Marshall. Maybe you guys know eachother?" and they hand up. lol soooo freaken funny!

THEY ARE CALLING ME TOO AND SAYING IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT I CALL THEM BACK! WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING WE COULD DO ABOUT THEM!

Got a call from this number 951-878-5385 stating that they had a law suit against my name and social security number. I was told in the voicemail to call them back which I have tried to do several times. No answer just a beep even though they have tried to call me multiple times. Not sure if I heard the guy correctly but they were calling from the Law Offices of John Bastine...

WOW I HAVE RECV'D THE SAME PHONE CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY WERE VERY DEMANDING ABOUT NEEDING MY ATTORNEY'S INFO BECAUSE I HAD A LAWSUIT AGAINST ME HE STATED THAT I COULD CALL BAXTER CRUZ AT 951-878-5385 EXT 359 BUT DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE WHEN I CALL SO I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND IT JUST RANG AND THEN BEEPED THIS IS TRULY A SCAM WHEN I STARTED GETTING VERY ANGRY AND TALKING BACK TO THE PERSON ON THE OTHER LINE WITH AN ATTITUDE  HE ACTUALLY WANTED TO END THE CALL WITH ME SINCE I WAS NOT ENTERTAINING HIM WITH THIS FOOLISHNESS I NEED TO KNOW WHO TO REPORT THIS TOO.  HELP PLEASE IF ANYONE FIND INFO ON THIS.

i recieved a call from a middle eastern saying im being sued on my social secutirt number he says hws a lawyer and he woulnd give me his bar number saying im goin to jail trying to threaten me then he said i had thirty minutes to pay him with a walmart card wish i know is not right its a scam and im sick of these middle eastern b*****ds our govrnment is lacking in this field to catch these guys its a real problem

I was telling my husband the same thing. I didn't realize it was the same damn number that he was telling me to call back. Until after I called it again no answer just a beep.

I just got a call from this number threatening me by saying that officers would come to my job and arrest me for a payday loan. I have never taken out a payday loan and i have no idea what they are talking about. It does concern me that they had my social, email phone number and place of employment. Who are these people?
They also hung up on me and refused to fax me any information about the supposed case. When I asked for a fax he said tough luck he cannot fax me anything he can only tell me i will get arrested tomorrow and got to jail and then court to settle this debt by garnishing my wages after probation.. I think its a scam. Especially since I've never had a loan other than student loans. I just wish they didnt have my information.

yea this number called me today and had all my personal info too! They told me I had to pay them for a payday loan debt ( which I am already repaying!) or they would have me arrested. They had me in tears for a little bit!

I have been receivng calls from this Mike Anderson person in same heavy middle eastern accent.  He has been calling my cell and my work number and i repeatedly ask him to stop calling and he keeps calling! someone please help me how to get this person to stop! thanks

The first time I answered my cell phone, the man said this calling is regarding a lawsuit against me but he would not tell me who the company or person was.  He was asking if I had a lawyer or an attorney my response was no why.  Then he said I will need one and I asked who are you he would not give me his name so I hung up.  The second time a voice message was left on my cell phone the next day because I did not answer my phone stating this is James Parker calling from some law office.  Stating I have to come to the state local county hotel and make sure I have my attorney with me.  If not he will take me down in front of them. He ended the conversation by saying may god bless you.  The person on the phone had broken english.  The phone number is 1(951) 878-5385.  

Both times they asked to speak with me by my full name (first & last).

I think this is the same way they got my work and house number. Some man named james called me from the same number talking about he works for a law firm,he didn't give me the name cause I kept asking who the firm was and after I asked twice he just hung up. He called my job yesterday and my supervisor gave me the number but when I called back nobody answered.

Had this number call my job yesterday.

I know his name is not Dan Wilson, its Mohammed, because he sounds middle eastern and there are multipal voices in the back ground at a call center pulling the same scam

Just tell them your lawyer has their numb and you reported the calls with the police.
