This number has been calling my in-laws for months, looking for my father.  I am so happyt I found this site, she did scare me when I talked to her and told me to get an attorney.  Now I know she's a scammer.  You stupid scamming piece of crap.  You won't get away with this forever, "Victoria".  Do you think people are that stupid to just tell you everything about themselves and then hand over money?  You will get yours someday when go to be judged, this I know!

I received a call from a Victoria Johnson at 952-582-4973 asking for 2 unfamiliar names. She left the number for them, repeating it at least 10 times & demanding that they return her call the same day. I called the number to tell them that no one by that name was at that number & to remove me from their call list. The woman was incredibly rude & hung up on me. I called again & she was again extremely rude, said I was wasting her time & hung up on me again. I decided to see what I could find out about the company. The phone number is a land line in Twin Cities, Minnesota. The caller ID displayed A I, for the company name. This is a scam & I will be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies that may need to know.

I was called concerning my son's student loans. He has not made payments on his loan. We called and it was too late they already sent this to an attorney in his county. Now the attorney has added double the amount he owed with the collection agency. My son just received notification from his employer that he is being waged garnished 33% of his income. The attorney would not accept a payment arrangement and said that they by law can and did add attorney fees, court cost, and subpoena cost. But to add double is outragious. I called the attorney general in CA and they stated this is the law and fees will be assessed per agreement with each student loan.

My husband did not pay his student loans. We ignored the letters of demand and quit answering all the phone calls. Last night we tried to put gas in our vehicle and our debit card would not work. The collection agency/Law group put a levy on our bank account. I called my brother in law to see what he could to to help us out of this situation. He called the collection agency/law group and he said that they would not stop the procedures. He said legally there was nothing he could do for us. He did suggest that we call and make a substancial offer of monthly repayment. The collection agency/law group said they will not release the fund from our bank account without payment in full. We owe $25,000.00, they refused and said he is already in position to be wage garnished and this will not be stopped either. Unless payment in full is made.

I just got called by a collection agency/attorney law group. My husband did not pay his student loan and they threatened to wage garnish him. We, could not make the payment arrangement. So, we quit answering the phone. Our bank account just got hit with a levy. We could not even use our debit card to buy gas. We called our brother in law, who is an attorney and he called this collection agency/law group. And he said that legally there is nothing he can do to help us out. He said that they can legally wage garnish and levery our bank accounts at the same time. So, we called the collection agency/law group and we offered a repayment plan this is substancial and the said it will take 30 days to remove the levy.

Some woman calls asking for my husband as owner of the company and an employee that works for us, I tell her they are at the factory location this is the business office, a satellite office, she screams at me then call them and have them call me immediately.. so I screamed back at her.. if you were calling them because they called you first as you said, you would know the factory number.  I need to talk to the owner now she says.. I am one of the owners of this company, who are you and waht do you want I asked...  None of your business she replies then changes her tone to a demanding voice and says to me" you call that other number now and you tell (employee) that I want a call NOW from him at 888 and she stops says screw you and slams the phone down.

ADVOCATE, you do not know what your talking about. Get educated you idiot. You certainly can wage garnish a student loan in the USA without an attorney. And I did get my wages garnished. I was served a papers and my place of employment was served garnishment papers. Its a federal law that if your place of employment gets garnishment order they must take out the % allowed by law in each state. So, get your fact right.

Seems like alot of these statements claiming they had their wages garnished without them knowing are false.  There needs to be a court order to garnish your wages and that precedes with papers that you would have been served with.  Once garnishing is going to take place your employer cannot do so until you sign off on.

Seems to me that these collection agencies are in here trying to scare some readers.

I was called by a law office concerning my student loan that that legally defaulted. I told them I needed more time. I was waged garnished 8 days later. I can not even pay my mortgage now. I tried to stop the wage garnishment. My attorney informed me that I can not stop a wage garnishment on student loans.

Ahh......you may actually be referring to Federal subsidized student loans......heck, they garnish your wages AND your tax refunds, but secondary loan companies don't have the same power without going through a long, expensive rigmarole. =)

Sorry, but they DO and HAVE settled for less than 1/2 with me.  Maybe since the debt is over 10 years old.  The original lender wrote it off and then sold the debt for pennies on the dollar to a collection agency.  The original debtor is then out of the picture.  That's why getting anything more than what the debt was paid for still puts the collection agency ahead.  The garbage still stays on your credit report forever though. :P

I'm in the health field....I coach or help people all day long. This person that I trusted to cosign for has put me in a really bad spot. He promised to pay this bill and never honored his word. No student loan company is ever going to settle for half of your debt.  They can garnish your wages -- unlike most other types of collectors -- which is why they don't have to offer you a settlement.

Which is why I think you're a big fat liar, Mr. Bottomfeeder posing as a consumer.

The collection agency called and a lady was really harsh her name was Veronica Dobson. She said that I had a student loan that was legally defaulted and that I needed to work with her. I told her that Date Line said to tell her to stop calling me. So, I jsut got notified at my place of employment Kaiser that my wages are being garnished for 25% of my paycheck. I called Veronica back and she said she no longer can work with me and my wages will be garnished until this student loan has been paid in full. I even cried with her, she said that when she had been calling she could offer 1/2 of the student loan or a payment plan for 300.00 but now I'm in wage garnishment and she can not work with me. This is the worst advice I ever listened to. I should have listed to my mother and father, they said to make a payment arrangement. Now, I have to either quit my job and they will just find me again. I can not even file bankruptcy on this student loan. My fathers attorney said that you can not file bankruptcy on any student loan in the USA.

We had received several vague messages on our answering machine but did not recognize the number (no name!).  I finally called the # that showed on caller ID and the woman who answered the phone asked to speak to my daughter.  I explained that she had not lived with me for over 5 years and the woman (whose name was unintelligible) asked for her phone # which I declined to give.  The woman then became belligerant and demanded that I have my daughter call.  I asked what the call was in reference to, stating that my daughter would not return a call otherwise (good grief, who would?) and the woman shouted that she knew what it was about and that THIS IS NOT A GAME! over and over.  I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude and responded in kind that she didn't like mine either! whereupon she hung up on me.  I called back to speak with a person in charge who was also rude and hung up on me when I told him that no one from that number had better call my house ever again.  He or someone from his group then called me 7 times, private name/private # showed on caller ID, automated message with no success in talking with a real person.  # on caller ID was toll free but the # "Rude Woman" gave me for my daughter was 952-582-4973.

This person, Victoria Johnson has been calling people I know and relatives, ex spouses, cousins, in laws to ask questions of a family member she threatens them, harrasses them, tells them they will be served with court papers, she has partial SSN numbers, cell numbers, old home address, when the # is called she states Ms. Johnson office yet she demands to know who YOU are. Besides the BBB what else can be done? Call the local police? file a complaint?

I would bet most of these people don't owe any money.  This person is a scam artist. Looking for week people she can intimidate, into paying bills they don't owe.

Some of you tell these people to just pay there bills.  Your most likely a bill collector, perhaps even work for Victoria.  I know a person she has been harassing and I know for a fact they don't have and unpaid bills.

So everyone coming here file a complaint about this person and company. The FTC says they need more complaints before they can do anything.
