Don't gave them any info, it's a scam. they tried the same thing with me, i called the police department and told them what happened. he told it a scam, and to keep all the messages from them. if they call you back and your bored tell them that you need prove that you took out a loan from where they say you did and you want a writing statement of when, with who, how etc.. watch him freak out. he told me that i would be in jail two days ago. i'm still freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

This is so crazy they did the same thing to me except they keep calling me from two different numbers??? They said that I had comitted fraud and that I was going to be arrested if I didn't pay them money.  They also wouldn't give me any information on when this happened.  It was very scary though because they were very pushy and threating.

I just received a call from these morons as well.  The caller called my cell asked for me by my maiden name.  Knowing it was most likely a telemarketer, I advised that he had the wrong number and that he was calling my cell and to remove my number from his list.  He called back almost as soon as I disconnected.  I didn't answer thinking he would leave a message.  No message. He called again and this time I picked up.  I told him again that he had the wrong number and to not call in the middle of the day on my cell.  He stated that I was the person he was looking for and that it was regarding a friend (my mother).  I repeated again that he had the wrong number, I knew no such person, and that he needed to remove my number from his list.  He then asked if I wanted to sleep with him.  I disconnected the call.  He called back and I didn't answer.  He called again.  I picked up and told him that I was not in the mood to be playing games.  He said he wanted to f*&% me.  I told him that the call was being recorded and that I was calling the police.  He repeated that he wanted to f*&% me.  I disconnected again.  It's been over 20 minutes and he hasn't called back.

I tried calling the number back but it just rings busy.  

I'm quite concerned because if he can track my cell number, I'm sure they can get my home address.  I think I can handle being told I'm gonna get arrested (I am a law abiding citizen so I doubt there would be any validatity) but I will not stand for being sexually harrassed by idiots hiding behind the telephone wires.  

Please let me know if you have experienced this also and if so what can be done.

I got the call as well, Just a bit ago   Foriegner, Officer soo and soo, could not understand the person,  for some guy that is not POSSIBLE,  I MUST CALL BACK IMMEDIATELY,  YEAH RIGHT, I just happened to see the number and googled it and found your complaints.  Thank you all for the input.

Got a call from this number.  The caller identified himself as some type of officer. He was trying to track down one of my  old friend from high school.  Told Him I didn't have any contact info for my old friend, he got real nasty. Said he had my ss#. He was going to sent some court officer over to my house and I was going to jail.  Also said that when I'm locked up, he'll come over and ### my wife.

Yes these same people are calling my cell phone. They are foreigners - sound Indian and they are very obscene on the phone. Apparently they are trying to collect debts but they are just calling numbers. They asked for my name and I refused to give them my name. Eventually I gave them a fake name calling myself William Smith. They placed me on hold for a couple of minutes and came back saying they are contacting me for a debt for some auto loan.[I have never had an auto loan, and My name is not Mr. Smith] I told them them that i have never had an auto loan - then they began arguing. gave me the social security number for a William Smith in New Jersey because my number is a New Jersey Number. And When I told them that they just violated the FDCPA because I am not that person, he told me to go F*** myself and hung up. I don't blame them. I blame Quest Communictions because they are the issuers of that number. I think people should begin to protest against the phone companies issuing these numbers because when you call the number back, it is a wrong number

i got this phone call too, they said my friend has a legal case against him something to do with fraud, well i told them i don't give out phone numbers without asking the person if it's okay first, so they gave me a number to call back, so fight back against them, here it is: 646-289-8297. i called it back this is the number that works, blow up their phone so that maybe they'll quit calling us!

These idiots are calling my cell and my work.  Luckily work knows about them and tells them to quit calling me.  They are arab sounding.  I only wish one of them would show up to my house or work.  They say the same things as above.

I'm getting the same thing.  They're harassing me left and right.  Does anyone know what get's them to stop.  I know I haven't done anything wrong, but I think my brother skipped out on a payday loand, and put me down as a reference.  Gotta love family!

rcvd call from 1(952) 992-6315. the person who left the message said my name & that I better contact an attorney to represent me because I committed fraud ( I know I havent) the message goes on to say he is officer somebody & I better call back the second I get the message!!

These people called my parents home.  Then they called my cell phone. They said they were with Bank of America but I called back the number that showed up on my caller ID and I got a VM saying it was Jason Stevens and to leave a message...What should I do? I'm reading all these posts about this place. Should I call the police?

I got a call July 1, 2009 from 952-992-6315 and he said he was the Mayor of a small New Jersey town with a thick indian accent.  He read 3 criminal charges on me and told me to pay him $653.00 by using my debit card.  I said I didn't have one.  He told me to go to walmart, buy one for $3.00 and put the money on it and call him back with the numbers.  He called me before in June and April with different stories.  He has read my identities to me over the phone-ie address, e-mail, phone number, work number.  He also said they sent an unidentifiable man to my work and said I don't work there on a particular day and also asked if I worked part time or full.  I didn't get upset with this one.  Somehow my conscious told me this was a scam and as of today, reading all of your comments, I am right.  I think he got our information from a cash loan place out west.!!!!!!!

well i am one that got scam by these people . i paid 2 times . in the amount of 752.00 dollars . today from this phone another officer john conner call wanting me to pay 1,786.00 dollars. i could not take this any more . i call the FBI and found out this was a scam . this is how i got this site . also found out you can report them to the FBI site www.ic3.gov . please watch out for these guys

Yeah they will keep calling and they go by many diffrent names! these guys are scamers! they will call your job and tell them that they will send the us marshals to your work and make your job pay your debt lol which they can't it's against the law for them to say that they have no power to say or do that! second  you can not be arrested for failure to pay a debt! 3rd they are idiots! They go under lots of names again dont give them any information credit card or other wise! the names they go under are! united states- legal investigations deparment, bass and associates out of FL, united states investgation buero, united lakeland investigations, national city pay day loan, Us crime suspect! and many others they use a trunking sytem for thier phone lines so you can't tell where they are calling from! they call from all over the country! with this dam program they use im trying to get an address so i can put a restraining order against them!

I got this phone call this morning. Of course when he rattled off all my information i got scared. Then he said my pay day loan was in 2007. I didnt have a computer or email of any kind in 2007 i knew he was scamming.Now that i answered they wont quit calling. He gave me a usnational bank and there isnt one (us bank and a national bank) 706-955-4897 he told me to call and pay my debt. I said i didnt have an account and he got short with me and i hung up. I called the number back and it said it wasnt a working number. who do i contact to have these ppl put to justice?

caller has a heavy indian accent left voicemail stating my full social security number and last job i had stated that if i did not call it would be the worst mistake of my llife

The number that called me was 412-360-8425. I was told by a man with a thick Indian accent that I owed $1,250.  I certainly don't owe that much money to anyone.  I asked him where he was calling from - he responded Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh.  I called the Penn. Attorney General's Office and was told that this was a scam and to contact the FBI.  I did and then filled out a complaint form for the Pittburg office of the Attorney General.  When this man called me back, I stated I knew it was a scam.  He started yelling and swearing at me.  What is most troubling is he knows my cell phone number and home phone number.

These guys were featured on 60 Minutes.  They got their information by hacking into Internet sites, and they threaten lawsuits against the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.  They speak with an Indian accent, and they claim you will face "harsh legal action" unless you send them between $500 and $1,000.  They are total idiots because their name does not even make sense:  United Investigation Bureau Department.

They use names like Roger Smith and Jack Jones, but their real names are probably something like Mahamanda Yogananda.  They can barely speak English.

They use various call back numbers including 347-844-6701 and 718-766-7916.

The best idea so far was what Paybackisabeatch suggested.  Turn the tables on them.  Call them back, ask for Habib, waste their time so that they cannot make money with scam calls to extort money from honest people who may get frightened or confused.

someone called my job from this number and pretended to be from united healthcare they were very rude and had an indian accent we hang up on them!

this number keeps calling my home and threating me with law suites and calling my supervisor and telling him that i am a criminal it is nothing but a big scam. they don't give any information that has any relevants to what they are talking a about and they are all arabic

Hey these people are on this web site under other phone numbers ect. look under united states legal investigation department! just report them to the FBI  they have a huge criminal file against them i have dealt with these scum bags before! I already have a FBI case number against them.  They are based out of mimi ga look under the BBB web site! the collections company though has persons based in Nigeria and  india that do call which is the shady part of this company!

A man who said his name was Officer Steve Clark, called me and asked if I had a sister named ________ and I said yes, and he said he was doing a financial crime investigation and it was urgent that I have her call him back at the number 706-955-4897.  He called me from the number 952-992-6315 and it said 'unknown name' on the caller ID

my coworker is getting phone calls from these people too. today the guy who called said they wored for Financial Crime Department. But they still wont say why they are calling other than if he doesn't take action soon then they will have to take it to court. or they are going to talk to his manager to get him fired. but the most funniest was when they told him to "run for your life"

This person calls to harass. Do not give any information out. This person called 5 times in a row, the the following day called using another phone number. These are the phone numbers 952-992-6315 and 646 289-8296

Guy with a thick accent called to verify my soc security number, gave my dad's name and my sister's name and my work e-mail.  Said I was being sought for credit fraud and not paying a loan company.  I hung up on him, he called back and on voice mail said he was officer Jason Stevens (still with the thick Indian accent) and that he was going to contact my manager at work, that I was facing the worst nightmare of my life and to start counting my last days on earth, and that I was a criminal lady. What do I do about this???

I got a call from a man with a thick Indian accent identifying himself as "Graham Smith" starting on April 3, 2009, claiming that I owed $850.00 dollars on an outstanding payday loan. He called again on April 10, 2009 telling me I needed to give him FAX him my credit/debit card information within two hours or I would be arrested, which I did not do. Instead, I went to the internet and researched United Legal Investigations Bureau and learned that this was a scam. He called again this morning and claimed he was with Financial CrimesInvestigation Division, so I informed him that I knew he was trying to scam me, and he then hung up on me. Its funny that when they call, then can't even keep the name of the "company" straight!

These people are stealing you identity. they call you and ask you for your information and do not want to give you any information. I called them on four different occasions and they gave me four different names for the company - Financial Crime investigations, Federal Financial Crime Investigations, United Crime Investigations, C.I.A Financial Crime Department. They are a fraud. They have asked me for 5 different people, read out their social security numbers to me, with address and all their personal information. They have cursed at me calling me an a***ole for not providing them my name or social security number or address. They keep on harassing me day and night. I hate to say this but they all sound like South-Asians - Indians and so far the so-called names they have given me are
John Smith and Jeetu Jackson though I know those are not real.

A "Sam Nelson" called me asking for my sister's information.  He said he was with "American Credit Service".

His number came up as 952-992-6315 but he told me to call 646-289-8290.

I told him that I do not hand out my family's information but that I will forward his information to my sister.  He then sounded upset and said "Sir, by law you need to give this information to me because you are on the account as a contact person".  Needless to say I gave him no information.
