While anything is possible I haven't seen these stupid Yahoo service teasers linked to any debt collection agency. Years ago the dating sites and personal ads were lousy with alleged females making demands for replies only to a given SMS channel. They all had a scammy feel about them, and so does this current wave of spam.

Got a txt:

"hey Greg are you there?"

Do not know this nunber

sent a text saying if i was Up at 6:00am 8-s

I also got one at 6:50 this morning saying sup amy? Also gotten one last week from different number saying they were jenny and to add them to skype.

I got a text this morning that said the same thing... "hi Amy are you around".  How can we stop these texts?

same thing happened to me at 5:30am, "hi Amy are you around"..... weird.

I got two messages from two different #'s this morning. First one at 7:06am from 252-755-8492 that said "Hiya Dawn! This is Jenny. Pls add Y!M so we can talk a bit, its: doughanahi". That was pretty weird, so I didn't reply. Then at 9:18am I got a second message from 954-305-3207 that said "Hey Dawn you up?". I replied to that one saying I was at work and asked who the person was. I just got another message from the 954 as I was typing this that was actually a reply to my question that just said "this is Samantha Brown...I think I have the wrong number? Sorry!" I'm not replying again obviously, but does anyone know of a way to stop these kinds of texts and calls? I get them more and more frequently it seems.

They said their name is Samantha Martin and I didn't get a text back when I said I don't recall knowing anyone by that name, this is really weird

That's really creepy that just happened to me too!

954-305-3207 left a text msg saying "hey Susan are you there?" at 2:20 in the morning on a Wed morning.  Ridiculous!!  Any idea who this is? Would love to get them cited for an FDCPA violation!!
