The calls are coming from the police athletic league they are relentless telemarketers over the past year I have received calls 3 in the passed three days asking for the person that had this phone number. I have told them to stop calling they will not. I called this morning only to get a recording to leave a message. They may be legitimate but I do believe if you tell some one to stop calling this number they should. 75 calls in one years since I have received this number from Brighthouse.

Yesterday got one call from this number, but there was no answer. Today, got the call from the same number and he knew my last name. He said he was with police and asked for donation. I said sorry and hung up. It must be a scam.

I answered the call with my real name thinking it was a business partner calling me. the person was quiet for a second and then asked if they could talk to the owner of the company. I said you have the wrong number. They then hung up. I have gotten various calls like this on my cell and home the last few months with other hangs up or asking weird questions. Everytime I hang up. But now they have my name, so hopefully they cant do anything with it. These are scam artists.

Called my cell phone and was a debit card scam. It said my debit card for such and such bank was deactivated and to press "1" to speak to the security department to re-activate my card. I did not press one, but a local news story came out the next day saying people in town were getting calls similar to this and to NOT press "1". Looking up other scams similar to this, it is supposed to ask for your account number after you press "1". This could also be a caller id spoof, so maybe the number is legit? I did not try calling it back.

Its not a scam, i use to work for them. its mortgage company. they are a legit company, but their prices for loans are outrageous, but you can negotiate. you have to be smart though. If you only owe like 80k on your home with 10 years left to pay, why add 50k more to your mortgage and 20 more years, just to save a couple $100 a month. well, you actually can save a lot more money a month, depending on your case. but do it only if you really needed the money. You can do a modification with your own bank. Yeah it will cost you like 2k, but save a lot more money in the long run, and wont add more time to your mortgage.
your numbers are in a automatic dealer, you have people calling from all over the nation from their different offices. that's why some calls are so early or late, some of the callers are in different time zones. Each time you get a call its more than likely a different person. when you ask to be put on the Do Not Call List, its just for that office, you still have like 20 other offices that may call.
You cant blame the company though. you have to blame credit card companies and anything else you put your information into. they sale all your information to different banks.
The reason you get a call don't hear anything most of the time is because the system calls like 4 people at one time, the first person to answer gets a live person. If you answer and didn't get the live person, the system will call you back automatic, cause it knows your home. Technology these days huh. the callers don't even have to deal numbers, the systems does it all, they just wait for someone to answer.

This is in fact a scam. they said they were the bank to enter my cc info. There is a program that theives can purchase called "Caller ID Spoofing" I have googled it and the program is available to anyone. There is an article also that says that the FCC is investigating. This is fraud and potentially targeting unknowing people.

I just received a call on cell phone at 11:20 AM from this number and called them back. A mortgage company answered the phone and said someone was using their number on called ID. I then called the police and they said that the FBI was investigating this as a fraud. Do not give any personal information to them!
