getting calls from the number.

Do not give any information out to this number! Don't even answer it! Please!

This number called me this morning and woke me up. They said I was entered in a $25,000 sweepstakes and that I could have a selection of 4 or 5 magazines for $4.99. I have a bad habit of giving in so I said that was okay. But then after they got my card number, they pulled some business about if I wanted to continue the service, it would be $68.28 spread over 19 payments and that I would pay nothing for 41 months (I had no idea what was going on.) They recorded me saying that I understood this even though I didn't fully, and said that I would be given a $100 gas card and some watch or something.

I got a little nervous later and checked my account balance to find that they had charged me $68.28 for a service that I had not wanted to continue (as it had not begun in the first place). They asked for my SSN but I didn't give that to them, at least. I called my card company and froze the account.

The number they called me from said they were based in Utah, but the area code appears to be in Florida.

Long story short, don't be stupid like me and give in just because you're a nice person or too afraid to hang up. If you get a call from this company, don't answer! You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

also got this call twice today missed it both times and it said its inactive number that been changed or disconnected, f*** these ppl

yea got a call around 9:30 am and they asked if i was James **** i was like yea then they didnt say much so i hung up on them.

Same scenario. Got a call around 11 a.m. and then at 3 p.m. Called back thinking it was a call from a job I applied to, but recording said the number was no longer in service. Annoying.

I have received this call twice today. First time I missed it & called it back bc I know people in the Ft. Lauderdale area. As people said it stated that it was from an inactive Verizon wireless customer. So an hour or 2 later I got the call again. This time I answered it and it just hung up.

I've got two missed calls.  What about of weirdos, calling but not identifying themselves.

i had a missed call on cell phone..when i called it said that the phone number was a verizon inactive phone number. i called verizon wireless and they verified that info as true.

i just got a call  15 minutes ago...i called verizon and they said its an inactive cell #
