Just got a call from these folks telling me "Congratulations! You've just a won a trip to Florida!" Spoke to them for 16 minutes and while it may not be a scam, it is a sales pitch. First, they wouldn't mail me any information so I wasn't going to give them any money. They ONLY wanted $498 and I'd be responsible for personals and incidentals. I asked them if the information was on the internet and I started searching while talking to them. Couldn't find their information. Googled the phone number and brought up this page. The sales person I spoke to told me that I couldn't get their information from googling the phone number. Who should I believe; someone trying to sell me a vacation I don't remember signing up for or people on the internet just recommending (or not recommending) a sales pitch.

They just called my husband and said almost all the same thing you guys have said except they told us "Oh! Wait! Now something is showing that you may be needing your passport! Hold for a second and let me find out what exactly that is about!" That is the point where my husband and I seized the opportunity to hang up. After that they called his phone right back and when he ignored the call they started calling my cell phone. Called my phone 3 times in less than an hour. Scam!!

Aight these idiots are crafty, though giving away exactly who stole my information to call me about this.  Got the same trip for universal and all that bs.  I knew we had signed up for a few different things at the airshow we went to but couldnt remember exactly what so I thought maybe I actually got lucky.  Well spent forever on the phone and all that then they wanted the 498 or a deposit of 299 or whatever.  I didnt have that kinda money laying around right this minute and told them that.  Once i told them it wasnt possible today they just got kinda snotty and hung up.

Now the kicker was i dont know of any legitimate company that does giveaways like this that handles things this way, especially in these times, they give you time to pay or just pay before you take the trip.  So i told my wife the final par tof the call and she told me we only signed up for shopping spree/gift cards, no trips or anything.

You get calls from this number they are getting good at telling you exactly where you supposably signed up, and I cant beleive these ppl could operate on a military base during an airshow.  I have contacted the admins form the airshow to let them know about it.

Just got this call. Women identified herself as "Teresa" spent about 10 min telling me about all the prizes & bonus prizes i'd won. The the catch, $249 per person, only $498. Then she put her manager on the phone, a "Chris Lafava." He asked for the card number. I told him i wasn't comfortable giving out a card number without something official in hand. He tried going off about how Universal Studios & Carnival Cruse Lines aren't in the business of ripping off credit card numbers from contest winners(something i sure is true, too bad you don't work for them). At this point i couldn't help myself and began laughing, i told him he was a good salesman, which he actually was, he barked"I AM NOT A SALESMAN!!" and hung up abruptly.

Just got a call from this number 945-457-0651 and the caller id said American Getaways.  I was told the same thing - trip to Universal, cruise, Visa card for $125, etc.  I did go to a Hudson Valley fair over the summer, but did not buy a raffle ticket.  They said this was the "door prize."  When I asked what company this was through, they said Blue Green Resorts and the reps name was Jeremy Watson.  Sounded too good to be true, and of course is was.  They said 50 names were drawn and mine was one of them. After they rattled off all the wonderful (sounding) prizes, they said I would only have to pay $249 per person for the 1st 4 people and the 5th would be free.  I knew it was shady when the caller ID said American Getaway and the rep said they were Blue Green Resorts. I asked if they would send me everything detailed in the mail.  He said absolutely, all I had to do was provide a credit card number. Ahhh, ok, scam confirmed.  I said I wouldn't provide credit card information over the phone.  Nice guy gone - said they'd move on to next "winner" and hung up on me.  So sad, because there are so many people out there down on their luck, out of work, hoping maybe something good had finally happened to them only to be ripped off by these creeps.

Got a call the other night.  Told me I won a trip for up to 5 to Universal Studios, plus a 3day 2 night trip to one of about 25 places, plus as a bonus a 4day 3night cruise.  The would also through in a $50.00 gift card for being in the military........then I got the big suprise they wanted $249.00 per person for the first 4 people.  When I told them I didn't have my credit card on my person the service rep. asked me to call home and get the information from a family member, and I had to provide the information at that moment or loose the prizes,  suposedly they're only were allowed to make one notification to the winner....I hung up...what a scam?

Just received call from 954-457-0651 american getaway. told me I won a free wacation to univeral studio and unbelievable package plus more trips . I let them go on and on telling me all about it. Then here comes the kicker. They want you to pay for the taxes per ticket which in my case 249.00 per ticket. That was $500.oo which they wanted me to pay up front on my credit card. I told them you don't call people and tell them they won a free vacation and then ask for your credit card number. It's a scam and hopefully people will be smart enough to turn them down. Who knows if a room is booked our not. Report them to the do not call list and if you live in florida notify the attorney general and consumer protection agency. This is fraudulant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would get calls from this number all the time and at one period of time I would have my voice mail overflowing, it won't even be talking in the voicemails it would be static or silence. I don't appreciate this one bit... I would recommend talking to your cellphone provider and blocking all the numbers that you don't want to answer... I don't know what to do.
