Typical American Express.... I've got all their numbers blocked on my phones so it doesn't even ring and it gives them a fast busy signal when they call.   These are the AMEX collections numbers:

I answer they hang up.

I got a call from this # and they left no msg (called numerous times on cell and hang up)>
I called back+they answered "american express", I think it is NOT Amex. The 1st thing they asked for is my ss# + acct #....are you kidding me? I hung up since I know my amex is paid off in full and I am in good standing :-/

Called but did not leave voicemaill message.  "American Express" displayed on callier ID.  I'm not a current Amex cardholder and have not been since 2002.

I'm in Mass. and got this call too.  There's a scam going around of companies trying to get your credit card info.  Be careful!

I received a call from this number today. It is indeed AmEx. The voicemail states that it's not a telemarketing call, but "important business" needs to be discussed regarding your account.

The problem in this case is that I haven't had an AmEx card since 2004. If available, I'll answer and update this site about the sort of information the call pertains to, and what they call "important business."

Received call from this number, did not answer as was a number not recognized, the did not leave a message and it has been years since I had an AmEx card, like 1992.
