Reading these messages sound a lot like what im getting too sad to say. I wouldn't know how to resolve the issue of them constantly calling.

I have received multiple calls from them as well. I don't even know how they got my number.

Kaplan College sounds right.  I just requested information from them and my phone rang right after I hit "submit".  

I tried calling it back, to see who it is, and it keeps saying in a recorded voice "Call rejected". It calls me 4-5 times per day.

Received a call around 1am....my answering machine had a few minutes of music playing...who calls people in the middle of the night just to play annoying music?? Please make it stop...

A 9.50/hr debt collection agent called. I asked to speak with their manager, who happened to be a SHELDON.  Their website http://www.cbegroup.com states to be treated ethically with respect and he is a cocky individual. When I learned he was not the manager, I complained that I do not talk with subordinates and that I must speak with his manager. Then he gave me their manager's name, CODY ENGEL. They called me and I have a similar name to the one of the person they are looking for, but they have the wrong person with similar name.
Know your rights:
If they call you, you are under NO obligation to VOLUNTEER information.
Furthermore, you CAN request they FAX you information to verify who they are.
If they do not, you can tell them you will file your FIRST complaint.
Call back the number that called you. If they still have you in their computer system, they did NOT remove your number. This can constitute a complaint and later a fine you can collect from.
Call 515-226-0218 and Chrissy Peterson will answer the call.

Explain that their other office has not removed your number from their records, and that by speaking to her, this is the second complaint.
Wendy Harris or Kim Patrick are the higher ups in this company.

Get smart in dealing with these debt collectors. Know your rights. NEVER ADMIT ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. When they first call they must send you a written notice within 5 days of what debt they are trying to collect.
2. If you receive the letter, immediately (you have 30 days) write (send letter certified) and do 2 things--ask for validation of the debt and tell them to stop calling--they MUST stop calling or it is a suable harassment offense.
3. Remember-if you send ANY money to the debt collector you have admitted that you owe the money to the debt collector and reset the clock on the Statue of Limitations.

Get a copy of the federal law and learn your rights.

got the call at 3:42 in the morning........am nowhere near Florida and not a university student, nor is anyone in the household.......dead air when I answered...suspected a hacker looking for a telephone line that was hooked to internet.....

Stupid number keeps calling me!! I want it to stop.

I keep getting called by these freeks, nothing but breathing.  As I've read above, the calls are from Kaplan University, but I've never even heard of this place.  How do we get them to stop calling.  And this is not the only number that keeps calling, there is also a 678-331-7299 and a 319-242-7353 that call, sometimes several times a day-all the same thing. If they were collection agencies, wouldn't you think they'd say so?

The same thing happened to me.  I requested information and they serial called me too.  Each person that called I said I am no longer interested, and then a different person would call.  three different people.  I finally emailed the last one and said close my file.  They stopped for awhile, and apparently, if that's what this number is, they are calling again.  Yesterday, though, there was a number that actually said kaplan.

I just got a call from this number, but no one left a message.  If this is Kaplan, I had requested information a long time ago, but don't want anyone calling me now.  I don't know if I should e-mail them to take me off of their list.  Any suggestions?

Have you ever requested information from Kaplan University (online)? they called me too, but i realized i didnt want to attend college online. They serial called me for a while, stopped for a while then just started calling me again...i just wouldnt answer or pick up and tell them that you're not interested and maybe they will stop calling.  :)

this number calls me 5 times a day with no messages.  I'm losing it, even when I answer nobody says anything.  I'm ready to get my cell number changed.  If it is Kaplan, they don't want to call me.  I did go to school there and those people never reported it to AES , no my loans are past due...then they charged me $200.00 for withdrawing due to medical reasons...I would hope this is not them trying to contact me about attending their school.

I have been getting phone calls from this number for the last couple of months. I took call from them to find out the are Kaplan University. Today, a man called and rather than saying hello, I put the phone to the speaker and let them listen to music for a minute and a half then hung up the phone. This person called me another 6 times with "stop calling my cell phone" and hung up. The final time this "man" called, he started to argue with me, telling me he "would keep calling back".

I called the number back, went through the IVR, and finally got a supervisor on the phone. The supervisor's name is "christopher large". He stated that Kaplan does not use ID numbers and that his name would be suffice. Christopher did not listen, telling me it was not "HIM" that called me. I stated he did call me, as he receives a paycheck from Kaplan equals you representing them. THEREFORE YOU DID CALL ME. He continued to speak over me and hung up when he didn't get the response he was looking for.

This is a place I would NEVER give money to. I would NEVER go to school here. I most CERTAINLY will NEVER recommend anyone to go there. KAPLAN UNIVERSITY IS CRAP. PERIOD.

These people will not stop calling me!  All I wanted was some info about a course.

Kaplan won't stop calling me. I got three phone calls from them already today and there are still a few hours left to the afternoon.

Ahha! Kaplan - going to file a complaint with the federal Do Not call list. They are calling my cell phone and it is on the Do Not Call list and has been for almost 3 years.

Disappointed student - I feel for you and know exactly what you're dealing with. Kaplan is not interested in us only our money! I just went through Hurricane Ike and having dental surgery and Kaplan first said I could have a leave, then changed their mind and said no I couldn't and they charged me for the two classes I couldn't take!

They call my cell phone everyday and do not leave messages. I hate Kaplan.
