This obviously is fraud. Identify theft to be exact. The Feds are already looking into to this. They have all tje resources and everyone that works or affilated wil be prosecuted to the fullest. Please go to the federal websites and report them. It only takw seconds. Freeze your account and put a credit alert om your report NOW. IT iS free.

ProVest is a process serving Company. They are trying to locate whomever they are inquiring about so they can serve them some kind of legal papers.

The called my brother looking for me.  I've been to their web page - not pretty.  Among others, they work for a mortgage company called ASC.  I have no idea what they want with me.  My mortgage company knows where I live :)

this company called my father's house, which whom i have never lived.  when i called them back they claimed to be an "address verification" company.  they stated that my mortgage company is trying to verify my information.  i doubt this.  i am current on all of my mortgages and receive mail and emails from them reguarly.  i asked them to remove me from their database and to not contact me again.

We received a call as well looking for info on our neighbor.  ProVest is a legitimate company.  Their tactics, however, are still abrasive. I worked for Equifax as an investigator nearly 30 years ago and we would call neighbors, relatives, etc., to try and gather info on individuals.  Seems like the same thing. Anyway, if you're receiving calls about people you know, or others are receiving calls about you....there's a reason.

I to used to work for ProVest. They serve legal documents for lawyers around the country in mortgage foreclosures. They do skip tracing trying to find people to serve them. I enjoyed working there and thought all the managers where professional. It is a stressful job and they do stress timelines. I didn't know Barbara Ovalle or Kalessa Waiters. Carl Turro was always very polite to me and was a good speaker in meetings. When I worked there we did everything for the clients. When I left they were hiring people like crazy so I don't know what it is like there now.

888 519 0028 x3650 called my mother in law looking for my father.  Which they barely know each other.  This place sounds like fraud to me and no way are we or anyone we know calling the number back and giving any information.

Company is called Provest - They called all my in laws looking for me - wanted our information - I called the Better business bureau and they told me to contact the local states attorney's office.  States attorney told me to call the company and get as much information without giving information to find out what is it.  Provest stated they were a third party company wanting to update my financial information and I told them they had to send it in writing. I also told them NOT to contact any family members regarding me.
Filed a report with the states attorney office. contacted my bank and mortgage company and neither had heard of Provest. Also told us they would contact me directly if they needed updated information. Feel this is a fraudulant company. Would not recommend giving them any information.

I got a call and voicemail message from "ProVest" 1-888-519-0028 and "Rebecca" asked that I return a call to her with the Reference #????? she left, at ext.# 3674.

Upon researching found out its a Foreclosure Company and I called My Mortage Company to ask what was up and did they contract "ProVest" to act on their behalf....my mortgage company said ABSOLUTELY NOT - and that if they are representing themselves in this manner it is FRAUD.

I was instructed by my mortgage company NOT to respond to the call and report it to the Better Business Beau.

This company called my parent's house and left a message with a refence # to call back.  I haven't lived at home for 7 years. Very odd. Whatever you do, I wouldn't give any information to them if I were you.

Received a call from "margaret" looking for my son and hoping that we are relatives; she asked that we call back with the information - like that would happen.  As is turns out, "margaret" also called a neighbor asking questions about my son - they don't even know each other.  

Who is this company and what is there business?

Call left on machine from this number asking about a "possible relative". Call back took me to voice mail of someone I don't recognize.

I have received 2 calls from this "Company" called Provest.  Every time I enter the persons extension, I get someone entirely different.  I attempted to contact the other "Company" offices......same receptionists name and voice message.  Strange to me......

called my NEIGHBOR asking details about me that no one could know, let alone that they live next door to me. they claimed to be an insurance agent. called from (954) 557-1150 x3635.

CALLED STATING THEY WORK FOR MORTGAGE COMPANIES AND REQUESTED CONTACT INFORMATION FOR MYSELF AND MY WIFE. WHEN MY WIFE REQUESTED TO KNOW WHICH MORTGAGE COMPANY THE PERSON SAID THE WORKED FOR MORTGAGE COMPANIES AND REFUSED TO GIVE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION BUT STILL DEMANDED OUR INFORMATION.

I received a phone call asking about my sister's address as they were trying to send her mail. Wanting to make sure she still lived at address.  I asked what this was about and she stated it was personal and couldn't tell me.  Like the comments above, the lady that left me a message was not the same lady that was on the voice mail.

Called stating that a property not owned by me up in Cleveland was subject to forclosure.  I have never owned a property up in Cleveland.  Turns out this is false company trying to get personal information

My husband has been a victim of twice over the last three years. Out of the blue my parents recieved a call on their answering machine from "Shawn" stating that she was trying to find my husband. She left a phone number and a reference #. She stated that she wasn't trying to sell anything, but it had to do with a relative. The company name was Provest.

I typed the number into google and found this page. Thank goodness I did. Looks like others have defintely had simalar experiences.

BE CAREFUL!! This could be related to an identity theft! I wouldn't give any info.

I received a call from Provest 1-813-250-6450 Caller Id Provest claiming that they had some court papers with my name about a lean on a house with an address I have never seen in my life, they had my last 4 digits of my SS# and asked me to confirm them, unfortunately I said "yes" without thinking, BIG MISTAKE. Whatever it is, it's fishy, I activated a security alert and freeze on my credit file on all 4 credit companies just in case, and blocked their number.

mortgage company or banks do not want provest to give their names. provest has to respect their clients request. provest does not want your dob, ssn, ect. they only collect any new #'s you may have since most of home phones have been disconnected. they will also ask to verify any new address for you, seeing as how so many people are moving into cheaper housing. their are people out there walking away from their homes due to forecloser. provest locates defendants for their client to legally give documents on behalf of the courts. i would want the court docs in the event something was going on with my home or any of my family estates so that i could be able to show up for the court preceedings.

They're obviously looking for you to serve papers on you.  You are either behind on your house payment, or hold a second mortgage on a residence being foreclosed on, or the defendant being foreclosed on owes you money through a judgement.  They are legit.

Provest is a company that is trying to help homeowners keep their homes when they are going into foreclosure. The only reason they would call a family members for information on a homeowner is because they are trying to provide the homeowner the opportunity to save their home. So if you ever get a call from Provest please do not be afraid to give them your current information. The reason I know so much about this company is because I worked at Provest for four years. My manager was Barbara Ovalle and Anita Rosete two of the best managers anyone could ask for, they are down to earth kind of people who do not think that they are better than anyone else just because they are managers. They would work as hard as their employees worked and never made anyone feel they were beneath them.  I left Provest because I wanted to be a stay home mom but if I ever decide to go back to work that would be the first place that I would apply for a job and I would recommend this company to anyone that would like to have a great opportunity to  advance in life.

Provest is still out there process servicing and skip tracing.   There were many complaints from customers that their servers "drop" served, i.e. left the papers without signatures being obtained.  If you go into foreclosure, make sure you receive your papers in person, if not, and they were just "drop" served that may not be legal the way it was done.   An attorney can stop the foreclosure by filing a complaint against the lender and server if not done properly.  

And no, they don't call to "try and save your home", they are only out to serve those papers to earn fees.    I worked for Provest, a few years ago, worst company I ever worked for.  They do not care about their employees, I was a manager myself in another industry and had to take this job due to job cuts.  I could never recommend this company as a fair employer.
