I got the same phone call telling me i needed to update my cars warranty. its a complete scam. dont buy in

I've been getting hammered with the auto warranty calls on my cell phone the past few weeks. I no longer answer ANY long distance calls any more.

These People keep calling me and I try to keep take my number off this list. I know this is a scam and it is illegal to call your cell number. I do not know how they got my cell number in the first place. If anyone know this addresss of the people that are calling I would like to have it. If they do not stop calling me I will go after them through court.

Right before the guy hung up today, he said "talk to you tomorrow", they have been calling me for days.  The operator won't remove you nor does hitting #2.  How do you get these people to stop?

Tried calling them back, went to my phone operator. There really is no  way to stop them.. I guess they'll stop when they stop...I just saved the number in my phone and put it under "don't answer" so I can remember not to answer for them. Works for me!

Received call about warranty on my car expiring.  I asked them which car and they hung up.  Obviously a scam call.  Avoid calls from this number.

They don't say anything when I answer. When I call back, it disconnects the call. How is that helping their business by not saying anything? I had other numbers offering a vehicle warranty but I hit the option to have them stop calling. Is this just a different number. I don't have a land line so is Verizon selling my number?

GOT A CALL TODAY TO BUY A WARRAENTY FOR MY CAR  I ASKED WHAT THE COMPANY WAS THEY COULDN'T TELL ME. WHAT A SCAM

I emailed fraud@paetec.com which is the company that sold the block of numbers to the company that is behind this scam. The reply that I got back assured me that the calls would stop. The only thing is, I get this same "extended warranty" scam call from all kind of different numbers and area codes. I guess it will take a while to get them all to stop.

Unknown telemarketer from 954-691-9656 called my cell phone again.
Call came in at 4:01 p.m. and I hung up on that person, only to have another call come in at 4:02 p.m.  I decided not to pick up on that call.

Wow, first it was my wife that started getting the calls, then they got a hold of my number. At least 15 calls a week from this extended warranty scam

File a complaint with the FCC.  The associated fine for unsolicited calls to cell phone numbers should make them stop immediately.

Received a call from this number among several other different ones.  Caller did not leave a message.

I have been receiving calls from this number about my non-existent vehicle warranty.  Simply file an official complaint with the FCC about either the Wireless or Wired telemarketing sections, and that will get more pressure put on this company.

Call this number and file a complaint ..407 - 581 - 1000 .. it is the phone company that they use. Tell them who is calling you an that they won't stop. They will transfer you to customer service and then the fraud department and the calls will stop. It worked for me.

this number is on my cell phone privided to me by my company.  I spoke to a rep and ask to be removed from the list and she hung up on me4.

OK so I got a call from this number, and since pressing 2 had been unsuccessful in the past, I decided to press 1 and ask to be taken off the list.

Guy: Thank you for renewing your warranty. Could you please verify the make, model and year of your vehicle?
Me: Um, no I just wanted to be taken off the call list.
Guy: Did you press 2?
Me: No, cause I tried that before and it didn't work.
Guy: So did you press 1?
Me: Yeah, cause I wanted to ask to be taken of the list.
Guy: Did you try the 1-2 step?
Me:...the 1-2 step? What?
Guy: Yeah you know...(starts singing)'Rock it, don't stop it, everybody get on the flooor'? nah I'm kidding man I'll tak you off the list.

I guess these guys hate making the calls too. Tough economy!

When you catch up to this person try to find out who sold our phone number or how he or she got a hold of our phone number, because I normally don't give my cell phone number out to anyone.  That person should be fined and the person who sold my number to him or her, as well.

Solution: Press 1. A person will answer. Talk softly... until they ask: "What Year Make and Model?"

Scream as loud as you can until they hang up (which they will). We need to train these people into new line of work, or help them go deaf in the process. Nothing else will get thru to them. I have tried.
