Multiple employees of our law firm have been receiving recorded calls from this company and we are very interested in speaking with anyone who has been contacted by this number on their cell phone. You may be legally entitled to make those calls stop and potentially receive financial compensation.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act is a federal law that makes it illegal for a company to use an auto-dialer to make a call to a cellphone without the prior written consent of the recipient. Businesses are allowed to call consumers at home using an auto-dialer, but not your cell phone. If prior consent was given, it can easily be withdrawn.

If the caller violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, there?s a penalty of $500 for each call, and if the caller knows he is violating the law, as most do, the penalty is $1,500. While you don?t always know if the call is coming from an automatic dialer, one hint is if you answer the phone and there?s a moment of silence. During this period the call is most likely being transferred from the automated service to a live person.

Something about insurance

The name of the company is Auto Insurance Placement Center at 970-812-4004. DO NOT DO IT. It is a scam. I work for an actual legal agency and I know it is a scam. They are not a broker or agency. Please do not trust them of give them any personal information.

I received a call from this number stating I'm overpaying for auto insurance.  I hung up at that point because I don't even own a car.  This is clearly a scam.

Caller is a scammer and using a prepaid phone under on sprint network. There was a FBI warning recently. Caller collects personal info. Untraceable by number due to prepaid. Kim da smart actually 50 bucks a month unlimited calls is cheaper then paying for a traceable 1800 number that can be traced I. A matter of seconds by the phone company

Same as the above, but I actually reported them to the FCC seeing as I am on the no-call list and the fact that they hung up on me, and then did it again when I called back made me a little frustrated. If enough people report them maybe they will stop!

SPAM... DISGUSTING, ILLEGAL, AGGRAVATING...what else?  O yeah, wasted limited cell phone minutes.  I agree with prior caller, wish we could fry their line, and everything connected to it.

They called & I didn't recognize the #. From the looks of the Post, must be an insurance scam or Tellamarcter. Not everybody was born last night.

Just got a call from them on a phone registered with the Do Not Call list. She said she was with the Auto Insurance Placement Center and hung up.

I am on the national do not call registry, and they solicited me for car insurance quotes. When I asked how they got my number they hung up on me.
