Halsted has shown on caller ID for this number (972-201-9802), as well as 213-814-0180 and 608-467-0631.  No one has ever spoken when I answer the calls, so now when Halsted shows in ID, the call will
shift automatically to voice mail, which never has a message.

Actually, you shouldn't answer or call back.  They hang up up because they don't need to talk to you, you've already shown them that it's a valid number--that's all they need to get the rest of your information.  It's best not to answer any calls you don't recognize.  If you're concerned that you've been turned over for collections it's best to call the original creditor, find out who it was given to, & contact them directly.  You can get the info from your credit report.  If you can't track a bill that way, the person calling isn't legitimate, they've used public records to try to scam you, or bought old debt for pennies.  Don't deal with anyone who calls you.

I just received a call. When I answered no one said anything and they hung up on their end. I tried calling back and it was an automated message saying "We're sorry, but the caller you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time." I search it and here we are. It must be a Craigslist thing and this dude is bored. Loser.

Received a lot of call from this number but no message left.   Who r these people.  Sacm and try to collect money.   If this a legal then they should send u somethiong by us mail.

I got a call from this number, it was regarding a bill i owed. They asked me to pay up, i explained to them that i was unemployed. I dont have any money. The guy just said i will be getting calls everyday. Which is ok with me... I started wondering when i looked at this post. I wanted to know if they were a scam. I checked them out with my state to see if they are a legit licensed company. Which I found out that they were. I don't care about the calls. I just dont want to get scammed! Im already broke!!

Got a call (recorded voice message) from this humber stating last chance to submit a statement for the record or decisions will be made to pursue legal actions. Called the number back and a man answered saying "did you get a call from this number"......I hung up! Who are these  people?

Got 2nd call from this number in a week on my cell.  Left no message and figured it was a spam call.

This robo call, with automated message, has been changing phone numbers on a weekly basis in order to bypass call number blocking.. He ignores the Do Not Call list and has been calling cell phone numbers thus wasting your minutes.

Missed call from this number.  Looked it up to see who it could be and saw others also get a call from this number... goes into my blocked number list now.

This guy shows all the traits of a scam artist trying to fish for personal information.  Did he get your phone number off craigslist?  He claims to be George Ross.
