Received a call from this number at 8:15 pm.  Caller stated that she is with the Lewisville (TX) Chamber of Commerce and asked me to purchase one or more tickets for $10 each to an event for which the proceeds will go toward underprivileged youth.  After reading the above reports, one stating that the person stated that he/she was with the Lion's Club, it is obvious that the calls are coming from a scammer, representing him/herself as being with a not-for-profit group while attempting to get credit card information.  Glad that I shut her down quickly.  Beware!  Block this number.

Calles has no ID and hangs up when I answer

I called the operator for AT&T and was told that I can file a complaint from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.  I hope this will work and put an end to these calls to my number.

Received a call from this number stated it was the "lions club" needing money of course!!  I know the area code is from dallas/ft.worth in texas!!  Why they are calling out of state, maybe a scam?
Block the number and report it !!

Got a call from 972-253-4103 just now. When I answered they hung up. I called back and it was a busy signal.  Looked up the number on Spkeo and the call seems to be originating from Irving Texas. The carrier is listed as "GTE-Southwest, DBA Verizon SW Inc.-TX"  I suggest complaining to the carrier about this harassment.

I get calls frequently from 972-253-3204, 972-254-3701, 972-253-4103, 972-253-5102, 972-253-4801, and 817-385-6854. If I answer, I hear a couple of clicks and then nothing. If I call back and it picks up, I hear nothing or I get a busy signal. Every day the same thing, but the number changes frequently. It's becoming a daily hassle to report these calls! What else can you do?

I live in Dallas, have been repeatedly getting these calls since 4/21/08 - haven't picked up but might just to see what they say. Everytime the caller ID reads 'Community Event'. Different numbers appear each time but have the same 1st 6 numbers. So far I have 972-253-6101/3302/4402/4103.

After checking the '6101' version here at this site, I learned that Plano Lion's Club or Jaycees are the guys behind this. And supposedly they are charities. Never heard of them before though.

Even if this is a charity, they're asking for some trouble. Constant calling is harrassment, I don't care how needy anybody claims to be. Especially a invisible charity that could easily take the funds and run and apply it to their own lives and not of a charity activity. Charity phone calls should be banned PERIOD. If you're a real charity, reach out locally on TV or thru fliers. This asking for money is BS.
