Scam. They ask for money via the mail. When I told them that I would gladly donate but do it in person (the charity she mentioned is a few blocks away from me) she got mad and said they dis not accept money in person, only via mail. She hung up on me when I asked for proof that she was affilited with the charity. Scammers exploiting good people and good causes.

Calls and say nothing.  When called back, phone is picked up, but no verbal response.

These are all a telemarketer for charities (Plano Lions for one). Here is what they do. The robo system calls, then hangs up! If you answer then your number is flagged in their computer as a callback. Then they call, and call and call. They call at 9:01 in the morning, they call at 8:59pm. These computers are programmed to call at many different hours to see when you answer. Then they program them to call during those "answered" hours.

I hate these frigging things and I'm a programmer (I write computer programs that run payroll).

They get away with it because charities are exempt!

Called and did not say anything but just held the phone and when phone
was free from being busy. Called back and they hung up the phone without saying anything again.

972-253-6801,972-253-4602,972-253-3302,972-253-3401 those phone numbers keep calling me every day, when you tried to call back you can never get answer!

I have the same area code, D.F.W. area in Texas and it was a man who was looking for sponsors for local event happening this memorial day weekend.I politely informed him I could'nt help him,and wished him luck. Gonna check out the mall this weekend to see if it was true.

I know these call can be annoying, but to get paid to call and hang up sounds like a cushy job. lol

I keep getting calls from this number and from other numbers with the same area code and prefix, only the last four digits change (1-972-253-2904, 1-972-253-4901, 1-972-253-6501,1-972-253-6801, 1-972-253-6900 are just a few of these numbers). They have been calling my house at least once a day for the past week. There is no caller ID and they never speak when I answer the phone. I think it must be an automatic dialer where someone gets paid based on the number of calls they make. It must not matter to them if they make a connection or not. Is there anyway to get these calls to stop?

Called several times, left no messages. CID is "COMMUNITY EVENT".  Also called from 972-253-6301 and 972-253-6900 with same CID.

This person has also called me from 972 253-4602. Caller id is the same- says "CENTRAL TKT." Never leaves messages, when I answer doesn't speak.
