Never again will I have a car loan through Capital One!!!!!!!  If I even *think* about being late on the payment, my phone starts ringing like mad!  I just moved and didn't file a change of address with them, and they have found my business line that was just connected a week ago!  And talk about unprofessional?  If I *do* answer the phone, nobody is ever there.  I can hear the general buzz of noise in the background, like it's a call center, but nobody says anything directly to me.

I know how annoying they can be! I have an auto loan with them. They tell me I have a 10-day grace period, but God forbid I should be a day past the due date, and they are relentless, calling my number at least 15 times a day. They only have my cell phone number, so I just started using the "ignore" button on my phone. And even when they do leave a message, there's no voice, just noise.

Several different numbers have shown up, but they're all the same area code, so I know it's them. Is there not anything that can be done? They give me a migraine!!!

I am receiving this call at my place of work. Very annoying.. Thank goodness I am the one who answers. I do have a loan with them, but moved the due date later in the month, So therefor I am not late.. still calling saying its late.

These people are major a**holes. Even after they called and I informed them that I had made my payment online, they continued calling me and my employers for 2-3 days afterwards. Oh, and their customer service people are really incompetent and unhelpful (and impolite).

they are horrible, sometimes i get calls from this nubmer and you hear people laughing in the background, or they slam the phone on the table a couple time sthen hang up.

The people who work for Capital One shoulc be fired! They call 15 times a day. When they do leave a message it's either nothing but noise and people laughing in the background. Then last night some guy left a message that he was watching me through my window. What is that about??? Who does that?

Received a call from Capital One Auto Finance.  I didn't answer the line but I called it back.  I don't have a loan with them but my ex-husband does.  Which is really weird cause I'm not a signer on the loan.  Car was purchase 3 years after divorce so I have no idea why I'm being called.  (Maybe used as a reference.  Either way they should not being calling regarding other peoples loans)

Same here- this number rings me at least three times a day - every day.  I've dropped things to run to the phone and no one is there.  Today I tripped getting to it - AWFUL.  I'm on a NO CALL list - they should be fined!!!!  It's Capital One Auto Finance.  Terrible.  Harrassing!  We should sue them!

I have never, I REPEAT NEVER have done any business with capitol one. Trying to get a live body on the line is impossible.......Any ideas on getting removed from thier data base? This is starting to get annoying.

It is Capital One Auto Financing calling.  I have never had a loan from them, but they keep calling insisting that I do.  They call 8-10 times a day.  How do I get them to stop?

These people don't let up! My grandfather just passed away and in an effort to relieve his widow of some debt, my fiance volunteered to finish paying off the vehicle (which he also needed!) She is one payment behind which is understandable b/c her husband just DIED for god's sake! We explained this to them MANY times and they respond with "okay i'll make a note of payment on the way" but then just keep on calling with no messages every hour ..ALL DAY! They also keep calling the day after the check has cleared the bank. we're paying them...you'd think they'd be appeased?

I just got an auto loan from Capital One _last week_ and I'm already getting these calls EVERY DAY ????? On my call AND at work, they just hang up - WTF is wrong w/them ?

Some of you people need to learn to pay your bills.  Others that get these calls might either be a reference of a current customer or your number was linked to the customer in someway currently or even in the past.  We are not violating FDCPA guidelines as we know our maximum amount of times we are going to call.  YES 15 times!!  We won't leave a message if you didnt answer because we are going to call back and try to collect.  Pay your bill on time like you agreed when you originally signed up for the car and these phone calls will cease.  Those of you that get these call and absolutely should not, email the company.  We will research the issue and if you are truly not supposed to be called, then the number will be removed.  The "Do not call list" only applies to telemarketers.  When we are trying to collect on a debt, our collection efforts have no toll on what the "do not call list" does.  Some of you consumers need to read up on your information before blabbing about getting calls as you are jumping to conclusions.

the Cap1 Employee can only say it best. look at your posts, your complaints and your banter really is irritating. do you think that Capital One or any other company enjoys wasting the money to call you? most of these accounts could be true but quite a few are very far fetched or at least exaggerated. then again, i am sure that you all work for perfect companies, perhaps founded by George Bush Sr or Al Gore and are treating your customers like gold.

People call me a lot asking what I want, because apparently Capital One has my phone number (which happens to be extremely close to this number!) and they call people with it. I do not know how this has happened, but I want it to stop and I have started to journal these phone calls from random people. I do not get called by capital one, I get called by people such as yourselves even though I have nothing to do with ANYTHING! I need to figure out how to press charges or something against Capital One. It has to be illegal!

Capitol one is a rip off to deal with! Has very rude customer reps who must be pulled out of the gutter to qualify to work for such a company. Capitol one charges high rates & if you get behind just a couple  days those vultures start calling! They give you no breaks at all if you run into troubles such as short paycheck or no paycheck at all. In this economy it is easy to fall behind once in awhile . Been a good customer ,but Crap one doesn't offer anything such as extensions or other help that a person could use from a tough  month.

I have written to them snail mail three times telling them to stop sending me crap.  I have told them to stop calling me over the phone. I have no accounts with them and never would. They require you to wave your right to take them to court if they overcharge you or charge you for services or purchases you didn't make.  You, Capital One employee... you are the f-tard, and you should be fired. In fact you should work cleaning toilets.

I have emailed them, reported them to the BBB and the FTC... yet they persist. I hope we get enough complaints to sue them or put them out of business altogether.

I get up to 15 calls a day from Capital One.  I traded the vehicle in 3 months ago and the dealership did not pay off the vehicle.  So I'm not even driving the car I financed throught them.  The situation is currently in litigation and all the approporiate paper work has been submitted to Capital One's legal division. But yet, they call everyday all day long.  I'm sick and tired of telling the same story over and over to customer service reps. Make some notes people. If you want the money or want to repo the vehicle, I suggest they go to the delaership and get it.  If you pull in my driveway, you'll be disappointed and my husband will be quite unhappy about the fact that you would be trespassing on our proerty.

This number calls my cell phone about every 30 minutes, it is Capital One and I do have an account with them. I just called them because they say im 17 days past due and i have automatic payments!!! they take the money from my checking then say im behind, so i call them and abdullah jafjar on the phone who barely speaks any english and blames it on the clasic "Our system is down sir sorry" man as I have typed this they have called already once. I have thoughts of changing my number but probably wont do me any good. Only 9 payments to go and im done with them. what a worthless company!

You all say it is capital one?  I am a student and don't have any correlation to them or have any loans on anything.  They have called me twice within the hour, and have called on a different number too which I looked up and was also a Capital One number.  How can you get removed from their calling list?  I tend to get a lot of these types of phone calls because people are idiots and dial the wrong number.  If anybody has any info in regards to getting on a do not call list, please help me out!

Dear Capital One Employee: You probably don't have a job anymore like half of a America.  i worked my job for seven years.  Never missed a payment.  19 days late with payment option and they call me 4 times a day when I am not home (because I am out looking for a job, you scrawny puke), and i try to call them and i get india and canada.  I ask for an "associate" on American soil and what do I get?  Put on hold for 48 minutes and then disconnected.  NOONE returned my calls for the past month when I knew i would be late.  And how about I left 14 messages.  Once per day for two weeks and not one single rat over there returned my call.  And I bet you are replying on the company dime.

Cap 1 Employee and tard are both tards.....My aunt passed fri and sunday we are getting calls from themn regarding her auto loan that was current...I understand collecting on a loan but calling a bereaving family 2 days after the passing is beyond ridiculous.  Both of you guys shld show empathy towards those posting as you are not aware of their situations or it could one day be you on the receiving end of harassing calls

To let you all know the operators do not call. It is an automated dial out system. It dials your number then after the line picks up you are connected to one of the Cap One reps. To the idiot from Cap one, you are in violation of THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT. I received 6 calls in 20 minutes from your office. That is called HARASSMENT.Just in case you're not familiar with the law here it is:

I used to work for a collections dept so I'm pretty familiar with the law. I feel absolutely that someone should file a class action suit against these predators. Unfortunately until Bush is out of office and they are no longer in bed with the government, I'm afraid that not much is going to be done. BTW the CEO of Cap One Auto finance is David R. Lawson. Also, I think that's is so funny that they harass the s*** out of me for my last payment, while I'm opening a letter from them saying I'm preapproved for a $30000 BMW loan!
