Get the Pro Call Blocker thru Amazon.  Put it on your telephone line at home and block up to
1500 scam calls.  It works.  They may call you once, but block the number and you will never hear from
the scammer again.

They said the same thing to me " This is Steven how are you today" they waited for my reply then hung up. I am SO sick of these people calling and hanging up there is no legitimate purpose for these calls

There is a poster a ways back by the name of Slim. He offers some excellent points on how to cut down on these nuisance calls, and he's absolutely right!  Also, for clarification, in in order for the DNC list to be affective, you have to report these callers back to them. Otherwise, they don't know who's breaking the law by calling  you and therefore, don't know who to go after. Also, the DNC list is for law abiding businesses to check with to make sure not to call DNC members . These jerks who are calling us don't give a darn about the law or the DNC list. As such, if enough of you report them, the DNC people will know who is breaking the law . So to cut down on these calls, we have to do our part.

And finally, get a phone blocker. They are inexpensive and work beautifully. I have Phone Tray Pro, but there is also a Phone Tray Free, I believe, and other blockers. I would be absolutely miserable without this program. It's easy to set up, a breeze to use, and the Pro version now blocks known scammers without your having to do a thing! It has made my life so much easier, and my husband and I are much happier campers.

972-435-0595 called June 24, 2014 at 2:47pm.  Caller ID = OUT OF AREA (SPAM).  Thank you 800notes, we see this spammer has multiple Identities of telemarketing.

We just received a call from this number on 6-20-2014.  Did not recognize it; did not answer but we have caller ID.  The information on this website was wonderful and I hope they get nailed to the wall for using deceptive and unprofessional practices.

We have a basic land line.  We are on Do Not Call List.  When I answered man said "Hi it's Steve"   I said I don't know you.  He said he was with Home Systems and they would be in area installing security systems.  At that point I asked to be put on their do not call list - he hung up.   I used *69 and when I called the number (often there is an option to be put on a do not call list) the line was busy.  I filed a complaint at www.donotcall.gov

Don't know anyone in Maypearl, TX so let the call go to my answering machine.  Immediately after my greeting message the caller hung up.  Tells me this was a robo illegal scammer/telemarketer.  Two violations of the law as my number is on the National Do Not Call Registry; and, using a recorded robo call!  Apparently doesn't matter as the Feds are too busy with the NSA and IRS scandals to bother fining these caller types and/or putting them in jail for breaking the law!!!  NDNCR is a waste of time, and I wonder if anyone in the government ever reads the complaints posted?!!!

Call from "Steve" who said he was from Vista.  It  didn't sound like a recorded call.  He wanted to give us a free alarm system and a phone to eliminate our landline phone  because of all the crime in our area.  We all know nothing is free!  I hung and have been keeping track of ALL stupid calls giving away free stuff, offering me $30,000 stimulus money for my business, changing my electric power company, giving me $3,000 if free grocery coupons and a Medic Alert system.   I NEVER owned or operated a business and am retired!

Caller from GE Home something or other asking if I would be interested in a home monitoring system.  Also asked if I had a home security system.  Told them I was interested

"John" from some security company saying his installation crew was going to be in my area and that I NEEDED to update my old, antiquated, landline-based security system with a new, modern, wireless one, which they would be happy to install AT NO COST!!!  (What a deal!!!)  LOL  I though I'd have some fun with him, so I asked him if he knew where I was located, since he said his crew was going to be in my area and I didn't want them to get lost.  He had no idea where I live.  (Surprise!)  Then I told him I already had a cell-based security system that was less than two years old.  He grunted and said I did not qualify for their program and hung up.  LOL  Hopefully this is the last I hear from John.

Received call- he started talking about home security.  I interrupted him to ask him if he knew the concept of the do not call list...he kept talking.  I repeated myself and he hung up on me.

Caller said they were with GE Securities(caller ID showed unknown) and wanted to upgrade or install a new security system in exchange for an advertising sign in front of my yard. I asked for a phone number to verify, and she gave me a website: www.pht.com. I asked again for a phone number, and she gave me her "supervisor" "Robert's" number of 321-207-8507. (I have not called it, but I will be reporting all of this to donotcall.gov.) I told her to take me off their calling list, and she hung up.

Call hang up at 205 pm PDT.  No noise or information.

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I am on the do not call list and these people have called before and I have informed them of such and told them to NOT CALL ME AGAIN and they have several times on my home phone
