These people call our business constantly to offer debt collection services. Not one of our customers is behind on payments, nor have they ever been. I am sick and tired of telling these people to stop calling. If you were a respectable business, you would stop calling when you been asked to do so multiple times! If I get one more call from them, they will be hearing from our attorney!

Salesman alert out there.  this guy that runs regant steel does not pay his salesmen so if your a salemen reading this ;i would advise you to leave their company asap because he will figure out a way to force you to quit and hire a lawyer, and by the courts rules make the smallest payments possible...do not work for this guy...

They are very good at collecting money but .. is what happens after its collected..  they are truly gifted in figuring how to beat you out of money... Every little detail in contract to squeezing time away from you.. pay attention to details if you use their service ..like remittance is on 25.. however doesn't specify how much they have to remit.. its a kite business.. they want to put pressure for turn over because they sit on your money..know in any state you can cease as nd desist a third party any time. Let them blow their money on lawsuits . They are already running thin..

WHO?  None of these comments are from their clients, this company has been in business for 3 years now and going STRONG, all of these comments are from ex employees or other collection agencies! Also another disturbing tid bit that i have found, after speaking to one of there old employees (it seems that there are a lot of disgruntled employees or former employees too), that Jeff Buono is working there. This guy is a con artist like no other and is facing criminal charges possibly for the 3 if not more collections agencies he has used to embezzle millions of dollars...(Nice failed bankruptcy to boot)...the same thing Mr. Jesse DelRio is doing right now------

I have been receiving calls from this company and the guy who is calling is a terrible person. I told him repeatedly that our office has nothing to do with payable or whatever invoice he is referring to. I gave him the number to call to get in contact with our AP department. But apparently the other office's phone line does not take blocked numbers. So he called me back, yelling, calling the owner of the company terrible names. I asked him repeatedly to not call my office and to call the other office as I have no control over payments, that I already relayed the message and his number to our AP office. He then started yelling and being irrationally rude. We got into a yelling match, i again requested he not call my office and told him what he's doing is unethical, unprofessional, and illegal, then hung up.

He called back over and over again numerous times. Very unprofessional and illegal. Terrible company. Apparently this is a disputed invoice my company is trying to resolve. However, if we did just flat out owe them money, i would tell my company to wait as long as possible or never pay it and let those terrible people rot. Pure scum that do not know how to resolve payment issues. I would never hire them as a collection agent. I was one in the past and this is not how you do business!

I don't know your location, but just by googling, I found three items that may be of interest to you. One is from an attorney in Texas explaining debt collection practices there.  Two are from Missouri, one from a law firm that says they take cases without any up-front fees, and another from a lawyer explaining new standards that may make it more difficult for people who buy old debt to have standing to sue in Missouri.  If you are in either of these two states, you might want to contact one of these law firms (or another law firm of your choosing) to discuss your situation with them.  Who knows, you might get some money from the debt collectors rather than the other way around.

Here are the web sites I found.  I have nothing to do with these law firms or the lawyers at these firms and have never had to use their services, so I can't vouch for them in any way.  But if you want to get a lawyer and don't like the ones on these web pages, I'm reasonably sure there are many others who could take your case.

People do not hire these guys to collect for you, they claim to be Attorneys they don't know crap and at the end of the day they will steal your money. How many people would pay $19,000 to collect $5,000 well they did it to me and I will do everything in my power to stop them from doing it again, if they have done this to the consumer fraud protection www.oag.state.tx.us fill out a complaint form this will stop them if everybody complains. Regan Steel and Associates are harassment callers that don?t care about the facts or what is wrong from right.  They just want to use whatever tactic that will work to collect some money from people.
They threaten and harass you.  When that doesn't work, they try with a more serious tactic and threaten with things that they cannot even do, evict you and foreclosure on your home.  Yep, he told me to start packing and get out as I had only a few days before my house would be sold to satisfy this judgment for ? (which was less than $5,000).   He demanded the money to be wired within 30 minutes and if he didn?t get it then he would call the attorney waiting to file paperwork to give the go ahead to file the papers to have the house sold at the county courthouse so that I had better pay or be finding me a place to live.
They don't even care that there was no contract and the guy was suppose to be bonded and insured.  He wasn't and did such a sloppy job.  He never finish the job so, of course, I never paid him the balance.
I had the city inspector come out and check the work and the guy just shook his head over the work that was paid to be professionally done but actually looked like an amateur.  The roof repair still leaks plus he installed an electrical device that he wasn?t licensed for.  Disaster.
The guy didn't even finish everything that was on my list so why should I pay him.
I received a call about 15 minutes past the deadline for the money to be wired.  It was from a female.   She said she was a neighbor and heard that I needed a place to stay.  I asked her again who she was again, where she heard that from and who gave her my number and she got upset eventually and said she was a slum lord and said "Do you need a room or not??".  When I said No she slammed the phone down.
I've received a call from the female since then acting like a long lost friend and for me to call her.
The initiating party has dropped his attempt at collecting on the debt, per his phone call to me, but Regan Steel said that they know nothing about that.
These people are rude and crude with their tactics.  All they want is to scare people into paying and they don?t care how they do it.  Beware.

Barry or Larry Adams from this company is a slime.  He is calling a "client's" elderly parents, who have nothing to do with the debt, to harass them.  I asked him to stop so now he is calling me, my sister and my sister in law...oh and did i mention that we all live in va and the debt is in a different state.  The "client" then lives in a different 3rd state......some boundary issues there.......so we reported them to the FBI.   Eat that up Barry or Larry!

This, combined with your near-illiterate screed of run-on sentences full of spelling errors and random capitalization and punctuation, is giving quite the opposite of the image you apparently intend to project. The people here doing the attacking are people who werent even smart enough to secure their credit alone with liens even written contracts.  We have a small group of clients that place debt with no contracts no lien, and not even signed purchase orders and expect full balance on the debt.  Its very simple.  Regan Steele is the best in the business and Yes I do work for them.. The problem with the attacks is the same problem weve all been solving since the beginning of time jealousy is a form of negativity.   These people are in negative mind stats because they could not take care of themselves first.  People who recieve their balances in full are people who are sound at running their business.  We know in the next 3 years some of the people here talking will be siting at home hoping to have government benefits because they could not run their business properly.
The BBB will not change our rating because we are not signed up nor do we pay a fee to be a part of the BBB so even though we have disputed the BBB on the disputes against Us, We are still not signed up with the BBB therefor they are actually using that against us.. Its simple..  there are multiple companies that collect in Dallas most are out of there home need I use actual names.  We have a place or office suite You can walk in and talk to everyone on staff face to face.  Its kinda sad to think these people have nothing better to do than to try and bad mouth a company that has been up and running longer than most other collection agencies in the are.

Even if I wasnt with this agency, I would want an agency that will go after these debts at full force.  Some of the most crooked people We collect for will do anything to fidge the contract to not pay fees...  So in saying that people who are running their mouth are the same people that wouldn't pay fee after the signed contract and debt has been placed and we actually had those debtor pay the clients We have to sue people for our money to.. So its all smoke and mirrors anyways at the end of the day you play with credit you play with a fiscal dollar that you created from scratch and possible gave to someone who saw something in your contract and knew they were screwing you.  So now your pride and judgment is heighten against our company because you were taken advantage of.

Perhaps you are a small business owner in Dallas...however, the tone of your comment makes it seem more than likely that, if true, you are the owner of Regan Steele.  As for your facts, you should probably do a little further research before you post things like that.

FACT:  There are numerous collection agencies which have much higher ratings then F with the BBB.  In fact, several have an A+ rating
FACT:  A bond is required in Texas if you are engaged in the collection of consumer debt.  Additionally, quite a few other states DO require both licensing and bonding for agencies who conduct ANY kind of business within that state, either collecting debt or soliciting clients.  Are you telling us that Regan Steele does no business in those states?
FACT:  The website outlines a timeline for their collection activities.  The 1st statement is "Licensed & Bonded Investigators", followed by "The claim is given to an investigator to begin a preliminary Asset & Liability Report."  At best, this implies that they have licensed, bonded investigators working in their office...at worst, it is an outright lie.

When you state that Jesse Del Rio's criminal history is "from two decades ago when the guy was like 17", the clear implication in that is that you are very familiar with Mr. Del Rio, far more so than a simple, unaffiliated "small business owner".  You are correct, collection agencies should be bonded.  This is for the protection of the agency's clients.  All reputable collection agencies are bonded; is Regan Steele?
