They probably don't leave a message because they are calling from Chase about a delinquant balance and by law are required to speak only to the person who made that delinequent balance. Not knowing whether the home or cell phone can be accessed by others, they can't leave a message without possibly breaking the law.

Simply pick up the phone, see who it is, and respond accordingly.

I recieved a call from this number at 8:30 am, but my battery was almost dead and the call dropped because the radio turned off as soon as I answered the call. But I'll call back at the number and simply address the situation, like many here should be doing.

Don't be defensive. If you owe a debt and can't pay, tell them you have a hardship. You may recieve reduced rates and payments. If you can't pay at all, simply tell them that and say you have no more information to add and hang up. You're not obligated to talk to them (though I suggest you be considerate). If you don't owe anything, tell them you have no balance and request confirmation from Chase in writing (from the bank directly if you don't feel comfortable talking with them over the phone).

Whatever you do, stop sitting there while 20 calls come in, doing nothing. Posting here about it is doing nothing. Address your situation.

I have received calls from this number at least 25 times in the last week
(6 times this Sunday.) I don't know anyone in Dallas so I never answer.
As I've had my number for 5 years, this should not be to a previous owner.
(besides: too many ppl on the net are having the same issues from the same number.)

This is SCAM!!!!!! I have confirmed with Ohio Attorney Generals Office this number is a scam out of canada they are routing it thru texas....DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER - they will flag you and then start callin excessively!! They have 2 numbers so far that they have tried with me I blocked the first number 972-512-9504 so then they started using 972-512-9502. The reason they aren't observing the do not call list is cause they are doing an illegal scam so they don't care about rules.......report them to the FTC online the more reports and maybe someone will catch them and do something about it!!!!!!!!!!

I have been getting like 6 calls a day from this number with no message. I have never picked up the phone but need to get rid of these calls. There must be a way to sue them or get to know their details from some phone directory, etc to stop them from harassing people with blank calls.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

If you have a chase credit card, call the number on the back of the card, DO NOT CALL 972-512-9502.

They have called about 5-6 times everyday since we got our new land line (a week ago).  I finally called them back to find out who they were looking for.  I gave him my name and the phone number to find out whom they were calling for, if they were looking for me...The gentleman insisted he needed my credit card number and street address.  I asked him again who they were looking for, but he kept insisting he needed my credit card number.  He finally said "I cannot discuss this information with you" and hung up promptly.

I then called my Chase credit card to ask them if they are trying to contact me and they confirmed they were not trying to contact me.  They transferred me to the fraud department and the nice man there confirmed that the number was NOT a Chase phone number.

This number calls every two hours, never leaves a message.  I do not answer out of area code calls.  I will answer next time and ask them to validate the account, identify the creditor and name on the account.  If they can't or won't do any of this I will send a report to FTC.  It's the law.  NCOgroup is another collection company in Texas that is rooted deeply into breaking the collection laws.

Okay, I've had enough so I'm going to share my story. These IDIOTS call me 10-20 times a day, literaly! And, they call from 8:00AM - 9:00PM, even on Sundays. There has to be something we all can do because situations like mine have gotten completely out of control. I forgot to mention that they are calling my cell phone too. Perhaps we could all send an email to a state representative. If enough of us do it someone might begin to listen. I don't know, but I tell you, I am willing to do just about anything to make this nonsense come to a halt.

This number is an outsourcing of Chase Credit Cards. They are trying to collect a debt. Unfortunately, they call my phone up to 5 times a day looking for my boyfriend. We called Chase's actual number after he spoke to the collector and they verified it was them, just an outsourcing. It's not really a scam if you have debt.

This is collectors for Chase.  Told them they reap what the sow. In 2007 I paid off 3.5 million in small business loans, had an 830 FICO score, and had ran my own business that employed 30 people for over 16 years. Then the banks decided not to make small business loans any longer because they had taken bad risks on buying up junk mortgages. I held on by operating on my savings, my retirement, and my kids college funds, but was forced to close my business and lay off all my employees.  Now I can't pay them back... their loss.  They made their bed. They can get a judgement against me, but can attach what isn't there. By law they can't take my medicaid and foodstamps, so screw them. I also advised my employees not to bankrupt themselves trying to pay these crooks, they got our tax $$$ with the JP Morgan/Chase bailout.

Getting many calls from this number every day. My caller ID comes up with J P Morgan Chase. As near as I can track down, it is being routing thru a Carrollton (Dallas) Texas location. They are a nuisance calling Saturdays, Sundays, nites, and even holidays. Am sure they are a collection outsource for Chase.

I'd say 34 time in 24 hours is a bit excessive.  They are rentless scum, the kind of scum you fine at the bottom of an outdoor latrine.  They keep calling for a debt I do not owe as I have no credit cards nor do I want any credit cards.  I think castration and neutering for anyone of them would be the order of the day.

I am exactly in the same situation that you are.  I do have an outstanding delinquent on my credit card with Chase, so that is probably why they keep calling.  Have you discovered any way to stop them?

Debt Collector
Getting multiple calls from this number, says they're JP Morgan/Chase card services.  They are accusing me of payment delinquency and threatening to report me to "credit bureaus" if I cannot make a payment immediately.

Here are the red flags:

The caller refuses to positively identify the company beyond JP Morgan or Chase card services.  Refuses to acknowledge whether they are a branch of Chase or a third party.

They are claiming the credit card in question was last used in December of 2009.  The only Chase card I have ever had was closed out in October of 2009.

They are calling a number that is registered under my wife's father's name; I only gave out that number as my own for period of three months in the fall of 2009 while I was phone-less.

They refuse to discuss any of these urgent matters unless I can verify either part or all of my SSN.  I know from military experience what you can do with a person's "last 4", which is nearly as good as the whole thing.

The first calls began to come from India, and used an area code from Illinois.

If you receive these calls, ignore them and please DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFO!!!  This is very fraudulent and shady, even if it is a collection agency for Chase credit cards they are doing business in a manner that will result in a lawsuit.
