Call from this number at 1AM, went to missed call.  Tried calling number and phone rang and rang.

scammers fake the caller id of legit businesses such at the one listed above.  The FBI is investigating.

Call to my office was automated from "Bank City Credit Union" with a notice that my card with them had apparently been misused.  I was to press "1" to go to reactivate the card.  I never went there.

Also got call from Freedom Debt Com  said CC de-activated etc..  press one for security to reactivated I hung up

Both my husband and myself received phone calls on our cell phones yesterday...we both missed the call.  We were then called on our home phone last night and it was from MAX saying that our credit card had suspicious activity on it and to input our credit card number.  It was the same number that called our cell phones.  My question is, how did they get all of our numbers.  Yes, we do have a MAX credit card.  I can see how people would fall for this and put in their card number.  We didn't though.

Got a call at 2:45 AM Sunday! Woke me up and they hung up. I figured a wrong number, and if it was legit, they would call back. They did not call back, but at least I know to ignor it.

I recieved a voice mail on my cell phone that was a computer voice call @ 12:00am stating that my credit card from Max Federal (that I do not even own) was used by and thid party. none of my credit cards have my cell number.......

Missed call - Return call not answered after 10 rings -  Guess that was my good fortune!

Got an unwanted call a 1:00 a.m. Had to wake up and find the phone.  Caller had quit ringing, and "missed calls" recorded this number. Thanks for the warning.

I just has a missed call from 972-607-9042. I tried to call be but the phone just rang and rang....

I recieved a computer voice automated call stating that a bank named Max Federal is calling about a credit card that I was alleged to own was used by and thid party and that the card was deactivated. The voice further stated to reactivate the card, that I would have to state the number on the card. The prompt went forward and asked for my card number for several minutes and disconected. The caller ID was Freedom Debt. The number was 972-607-9042. I attempted to return the call but this number did not take return calls.

I don't have a credit card with any bank. I only have debit cards and not any with a bank named with Max Federal. I would never give my card out to someone calling me. I have only given my card number when I made a call to a known vendor where I was making a purchase. This was an obvious attempt at identify thieft. If this happens to anyone reading this message, don't panic. Your bank should know your card number and never have to ask for it.
