saying they are rent a center

have received several calls from this number.  i am also on the natl no call list.  came up as rent a center...i have never conducted business with rent a center.  contacted a real rent a center in the dallas tx area who gave me their customer service center number.  called and was told the number was a scam, did not know what kind, and that they had their legal team working on shutting it down.

I have received a call a day from this number ...972-624-6001. My caller ID says Rent-A-Center. The caller never leaves a message. I actually answered it today and whoever it was hung up.

We are getting a phone call (no one speaks) from 972-624-6001 from Rent-A-Center.  The area code is from Frisco, Tx.  I have called all those businesses in the their area, and they have received numerous complaints about this # and it appears to be a spamming self-dialing number.  The RAC main headquarters ph no is 800-275-2696.

Get calls 2x a day for 2 weeks

This number is calling 4 and 5 times a night.  They hang up if I answer.  Caller ID says rent a center but rent a center states they have nothing to do with this number.

We get calls from this number a couple of times a day with no ID.  I am reporting this, please make them stop!!!

Caller ID said "Rent  A Center". I answered and the RUDE woman on the other end stated she was from "Make A Wish Foundation". I asked her why the caller ID said Rent A Center and she said "must just be a mix up in the phone lines"!  TOTAL SCAM!!!

The caller ID said Rent-a-Center. When I answered, there was a delay until someone came on the line. She said "Pam", so she had my name. She identified herself as calling for "Children with a Wish".

Calls everyday - no one says anythings.  Caller ID says Rent A Center.  When call back - there is a network error.

Calls every day and shows unknown on ID. I don't answer unless I know who's calling.

I have received lots of calls too.  Nobody is there when I answer.  I called them back and got nothing except guitar muisic.  Has anyone contacted the Texas Attorney Generals Office to report harrasment?  Think I'll try that approach.

I get a call almost daily from this number  972-624-6001  It takes approx 30 seconds for them to respond when I answer and then they call me by name.  I keep saying, hello, yes, what? and they hang up.  They do the same thing on my answering service.  They cal my name and then hang up.

I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't know.  This one always comes across my caller ID as unknown.  They can call all they want, I won't answer; and they aren't leaving a message.  So, in reality; no bother to me.

Another call from 972 624 6001 - this one came in at 11:57 A.M. Texas time 21 Sept 2011-
No message on the machine  - I quit answering calls from that number for various reasons...

Sure do wish someone would discover an automatic way to erase the number, from the callers data bank, when they call a number on the do not call list....

This number has called multiple times and the line is open, no one speaks and eventually I get guitar music.  I'm on the do not call list.  Seriously annoying.

I have received a call from this "rent a center" each night for the last week.  I immediately return the calls and do not even get a ring tone.  Anyone know how to stop these calls...

Claimed to be "The Children's Wish Network." Cow pastures are cleaner than these people. Definite scam.

Phone rings I answer and no message just a hang up. How can I stop this without changing my phone number? Any suggestions?  :0(

I have recieved calls from the 972-624-6001. It is fustrating and annoying. I have tried putting blocks on the phone number but they still call every day. U gave called and there is no answer just music. I have been put on hold for serveral hours and no answer. There is a conspiracy going on to try to make charges call services. Phone has been called an working on problems.

I am getting calls several times a day.  I finally answered and told them I wasn't contributing.  They hung up, but that didn't stop the calls.  Today I answered again and was told there was no record they had contacted me.  I told them to stop calling me again.  Let's see what happens.  Unfortunately charities and political candidates are not obliged to follow the "Do Not Call" list.  However, I feel this whole thing is probably a scam.

Because they CLAIM to be a charity which, along with politicians, are exempt from 'Do Not Call'

972-624-6001 Freakazoids calling and not talking. Someone needs to find out who this is and shoot the freaks.

Calls are coming daily from 972.624.6001 to the point of harrasment. 99 % of the time no one is on the line. The number is for a charity organization. Call Texas Attorney General's office and told them I am on the no call list. I was told charity organizations are exemot from that list.
If you call the 972 number back, it will answer and music will play forever with no one coming on the line.. accidently spoke to them opnce, asking that I be removed from their list--DID NO GOOD AT ALL.    still getting3 or 4 calls daily with no one on the line.. 972 is an are code for Dallas area

Received 23 calls from this number from 8/23 to9/14/2011 and then filed complaint with the do not call site. I think it has stopped from that # and now using the GRNCHR #. Real pain for a day sleeper.
