funny I have been receiving this call for over five years. I do have loans that are over dew but have always thought this guy sounded like a quack. the first time 5 years ago he threatened to take everything I owned and ship me over seas to go to jail there I laughed it off cause at that time I had no home or anything he could take. He has changed his threats to me lately not so intense but still annoying. I have also noticed today I have not heard from him for a long time but I filled out some info for coupons and what you know he called tonight will for sure report him but from what Ive read there is not much they can do.

This is a scam do not send any money. You can contact your local Law Enforcement, but they are limited in what they can do as the names and numbers are constantly changing, as well as the fact that this scam is based out of the country. If they are contacting you after applying for a loan ensure you speak with your financial institution about what steps you should take to secure any additional personal information.

I just got a horrible message after returning to work from 8 days off with the flu.  This idiot calling himself "Alex" threatened me with being arrested and tried to get my social security number and other identifying information.  I am a paralegal and I told this jerk who said he was with The Davenport Law Firm I wanted the name and address of his firm and to speak with his managing partner or attorney there.  Of course, I had already performed a reverse seach on this number and knew it was a scam.  When I told this man that I had a team of lawyers and what he was doing was ILLEGAL, he screamed that I would be arrested and hung up.  Just to pull the switch on him, called him again and he used a different name.  Told him he was going to be arrested as I was reporting him and this number to the telephone company, the police, the United States Attorneys Office and the FBI.  THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM AS THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT LAWYERS.....DON'T GIVE UP ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION, NOT EVEN YOUR LAST NAME CAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW IT.

I just received 2 calls at work and multiple calls on my cell phone that I did not answer as I did not recognize the number.  I told the caller I could not take these types of calls at work and hung up.  They called back but asked for my automated voice mail.  left me a message that he was from a law firm that there is a complaint on file and that I am going to be arrested if I do not call him back.  Based on all of the messages already on here they are scam and I have reported this number to the authorites.

yesterday i received 7-8 phone calls from this number and the guy said his name was Mark Johnson. He kept telling me that i owed $791 to American cash and that he was their attorney. Also he said that if i didn't find a way of paying this amount by the time they closed last night that i would be arrested today. well lookie here... i'm not arrested. i'm highly ticked off and upset because of the threats he left and the nerve he struck. I was so scared that it was something real, because my husband and i have applied for payday loans, but we were always denied. i couldn't stop freaking out until i found this website and another one here... http://www.dfi.wa.gov/consumers/alerts/american-cash-services-usa.htm if you want to read this. i know it says it is for washington state but i gave me some relief. my husband and i are going to our local police to try to see if anything can be done about this.

I keep getting calls from this number everyday telling me to call them or else.  I refuse to call them back, if they can't leave the name of the company they are calling from.  i also have already had problems with someone accessing my bank account and withdrawing money from it, and have reported the problem.  I have googled this number, and it appears to be a scam.  Please stop them from calling my number

This number calls over and over again. They have my birth date ss number and home adress. They keep telling me "The cops are going to show up at your home and you will be behind bars." I called my local police department but unfortunately they cannot do anything about it. All i can do is hang up on them. They do this to me every two or three months.

I have received two calls from them in less than 1 week.  The scary thing is that they have my job number, banking information and address.  I was also told that I would be arrested if I did not pay back money that I never received.  It is so sad that people prey on others, especially while they are already induring finical hard ships. I hope they caught really soon.

I just got off the phone with the conversation going the same way. Same foreign guy an everything. This is the second time they have tried to do this calling scam....

I have recieved several calls from this number on my cell phone and work number. They say they are with a law firm and will be fileing charges against me.. They said I am a money launderer. I told them to stop calling me at my work and  they said they will call as aften as they want to, My boss even talked to the guy and told him that we were filing harnessment charges against them. They still call.

i got this call today from a taxas number 972-843-1586, didnt answer but listened to voicemail and got the threat then the well wish. called the number back, had terrible echo but before that even was noticed the woman insisted on calling me back, i figured it was to record me. after she went through this spill about legalities she used american general as a account, but the a***s didnt realize that the so called date they used is when my mother passed and then 20 days later i was in kandahar afgahnistan. they even had the nerve to get ticked asked me if i was sure of my dates. they had no info, but luckily they are not nearby, military life is stressful enough to have deal with lazy b*****ds like this.

I just received a call from this number today. They said I had gotten a loan that I had not repaid. He could not tell me how much the loan was for or when "I got" the loan. Said that I was going to be arrested and would have to go to court and I would end up paying over $8000. I said I didn't know what he was talking g about, he couldn't explain it to me. But said I would find out when they arrested me. Then he hung up the phone. I called back and got the name of the law office he said he was with and I googled the name and it came up as a real law office. So I googled the number and found this .... thank you all so much.

My wife got the same call from someone claiming to be Andy Focher or something like that. Same threat of arrest and demand to settle or else but refused to give details. The number was 972-843-1586.

I got the same call just a few minutes ago..same info as the posters below me!  What a scam

Mark Roger, called claiming  with a Law Firm stating theirs a claim against me for $756.26 Loan that never happened. He then stated do you have an Attorney. I asked him again,where he was located and who was bringing  suit against me -- he stated American Cash or Payday Loan and he stated that I would be  arrested tommorow and have a Blessed day........ Who are these people  ?      and Why can't they be stopped ?????

These ignorant people have been calling me all day. They have already admitted to being over seas. They were vulgar and extremely disrespectful to me. Making sexual threats and telling me i was going  to jail. I finally told them to do what they have to do. Im not to worried about it.

Report it to the police. Cause me and my Husband is doing that now. they're harrassing my Husband on his cell and work phone.

I recieved the exact same phone call from these people and same thing have a "blessed day"  after saying  I was being arrested for a pay day loan or something of the sort at my place of employment or my home, what the hell!?

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Male who sounds like he's from Iran/Iraq calls.  Did not say what it was regarding but made a slight threat that I better call this # in the next second and if I didn't good luck.  I will advise police and other.

Its definitely a scam cause I ask the dude to email me the files of my husband owing him to me. && he say so. Plus, when I call the number, it clearly stated that the phone number is disconnected.
