Called for my company's President.
Hint: When a caller does not want to leave their name, company name, phone number, or why they are calling, it's a sales call. Don't waste your time.

I answered a call from Peak Petroleum at 972 871 2169 asking to speak to the owner of the company by name. Well, sort of, he butchered the last name. He said that his name was Mike. I asked the nature of his call and he said it was concerning the Infinity project in Texas. I replied that the owner of our company did not take calls from individuals that he doesn't know personally and the guy said he would be sure to relay that to his investors and called me a dumbass and hung up.

Caller Id said Infinity which was how he identified himself, Mike from Infinity. He asked for the owner by first name, and I told him he wasn't in and that he doesn't accept un-solicited calls. He said "He knows me," and then hung up.

A man asked for the boss by his first name. I informed him he was not in. He then asked for his voicemail. When I told him he did not have voicemail, he hung up! How rude!! Why would anyone want to do business with these people?

This company (Peak Petroleum) is calling again. They ask for whom ever they think is the owner of your company. When asked what this is in reference to the tell you he (who they asked for) will know what it is about. When told they can not be put through until they state what they are calling about he became hostile. I was told good luck keeping my job and he would call on the cell phone. He then hung up.
I called the number it came from and complained. The next one I will be calling an Attorney and the state.

Just got a call from (872) 871-2169 Caller ID shows INFINITY - he asked for the CFO by first name. I advised he wasn't in yet this morning, however, he was checking VM. The caller asked when I thought he'd be in and I said. I don't think about it. He got a hair up his butt and told me I was rude. I said "No I'm not the one who is rude. One NEVER calls a company and asks for the CFO by first name." He said well I'll call in an hour or two and go over your head. I said Good luck. - You see folks I'm the CFO - I just happend to be standing next to the phone when it rang.

Steve Schrader, used "Infinity Exploration" as the company name, wanted to talk about a new project. No other details. There is no interest in responding to a generic call that provides no details.
Infinity Exploration is a privately-held gas & oil exploration company (see www.inifinityexploration.com); the same phone number is listed at the bottom of their web site.

Some guy named "Lou" called today asking for the owner by name as if they were best friends...hung up as soon as I put him on hold......as if he's getting through anyway. Caller ID showed "Infinity". Perhaps they have changed the name?

Same story. Call from Paul. I told him that I didn't like the lack of transparency and I could get pretty much the same results from Canadian energy trusts with full transparency. He said that his boss Howard Massey would call me back, but never did. I wasn't all broken up inside about it. There are a bunch of companies like this. They probably are legitimate in the sense that they might actually drill a hole and get some oil. But you'll pay a lot more than you should for that hole without ever knowing why.

If you knew Barack Obama, you wouldnt work at Peak Petroleum. What a line of crap!

receive calls from these guys on a regular basis, each time I tell them I'm not interested but they continue on as all good telemarketers are taught. I hang up every time. today however after hanging up they called right back to tell me how rude I am and how unprofessional I am. I returned the favor my telling them how rude they are for continuing to call after repeatedly telling them I'm not interested.
